Russia’s sending 6 grannies to Baku
Oh yeah, forgot the grannies. I think they will be the act that in my mind will replace last year's Moldovan smurfs.
Re 14, I didn't realise that rule was in place and thought I'd seen younger people on in the past. Maybe I'm imagining it.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Beautiful Stevie, such detail. What this also made me wonder is this. Given the proximity of the ISS to the earth in the video, it is very close. How on earth do moon landing deniers explain Buzz Aldrin's famous Moonrise picture? Where was it taken from?

Surely that's an Earthrise?
I remember the Moon landing and the stuff that followed. Even though we were all much more trusting & naive in those days, I did feel at the time that there was something 'not quite right.' It seemed to go so well, and the technology of getting the pics on to my home TV appeared so advanced, I was a bit uneasy about it all.
I'm not a denier, or someone who would go into the matter with a fine tooth comb, seeking 'proof,' but like 9/11, some aspects still astonish me.0 -
Done doozer!
Just hectic atm, looking at houses (parent and i do not agree on best buy atm, but there is one outstanding one imo, its head an shoulders above the others, will hold value, could be used as a holiday let when parent is away, its outstandingly good.....and finished condition, plus, in favourite town, within walking distance of amenities. The catch...only one bed, (but a reception room wpthat would take a sofa bed) but as i said, they have left it too late to start another family and this is the sort of place to be happy to live alone or with a new partner in, its beautiful, easy and within budget. So why do they want the family house in a dark location in a scummy place, with no parking and needing loads of work done, that would be a pita to heat and live in?0 -

I'm afraid it's a generational thing. Many younger people give the impression they'd need a calculator to count their hands and if you asked them to do it twice you'd get three different answers.
The chances of them believing that a bunch of old blokes with slide rules and almost no computers could handle a complicated task like a moon mission are pretty minimal.
Gives them a chance to be all cynical and say "yep, that'll be right!"There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Deniers just deny, and those who have a need to believe them do so. There must be a joke here about high deniers being thick, but I can't be bothered ....No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Doesn't do any harm to keep an open mind about extraordinary events, do you remember that moon landing spoof from Norwich TV'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. Actually my great uncle worked for NASA on the moon project, and did you know that the suits that the astronauts wore were designed and made in a small factory in Manchester with a spooky name, this was a case of reality apeing the Cinema. BTW my granny used to work there one of 101 jobs that she did in her lifetime (contrary to popular belief not all women were SAHM in the past:)).The high-tech garments produced by the firm were so futuristic they were featured in the cult film 2001: A Space Odyssey – made one year before the moon landing.

I think that happened during my "no TV" period, which lasted about 5 years, although I had a telly that could produce the TV sound without a picture.....so if there was an interesting Panorama or something, I could listen to it! :rotfl:0
