I used to watch Eurovision and I'm cool
It was back in the days of Abba and Brotherhood of Man.
We (mum, dad, sis, brother and me) filled in scorecards and tried to predict the winning song. It was also one of the evenings we were allowed to go to bed later.
Haven't watched it for a while now...0 -

Brotherhood of Man (1976) .... pretty much sums up how dire and embarrassing the UK entries were.
Abba - when they became popular about 10-15 years ago - I never understood it because first time round the only people who liked them wre dirty old men lusting after the blond singer. Abba won in 1974.0 -
Here's one of mine, although actually, since I've moved I don't go there as often as I used to. Another place with similar views is now closer.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
One this afternoon was nice but unsuitable. Bathroom miles from the bedroom, not good for old people to navigate stairs in the middle of the night.
Getting very bored now. And tired.0 -

Cool view. That's from the top of Canary Wharf, isn't it?Do you know anyone who's bereaved? I doubt I'll discover any you've not already seen/dismissed... but I can look sometimes.0 -

Ahh, well, could be any where round there, need not be that town, but that sort of distance from me, can you remember where i am? We looked about that far to the east today.
Ideally would have liked bath or malmesbury i think, but not going to find something suitable for parent in budget. Parent wants bigger that that really and would like a bungalow. But bungalows seem really pricey!0 -

How old are the parents? Do you need to think ahead to when they are frailer and may need to stop driving? Or is that still a long way off?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
