Tell me what you think to the song guys! I’m getting back to this!

Probably the weakest Russian entry for a few years. Very formulaic.

What's interesting is that for many years, a song not sung in English was a hinderance, but now there are so many nations with Russian as a second language that the dynamic has moved east. Mind you, the dynamic has been moving east for a while with or without Russian as a common language.

Pink whistley and i have shared a piece of gorgonzola, which sores very highly on dh's chart of cheese for crazy dreams......

Whistley often has very animated dreams, so maybe she has a cheese stash of her own somewhere, or jus a tremendous imagination or a lot of problems to work through subconsiously.

Sorry lir, can't keep up with your menagerie. What type of animal is Pink Whistley? Thankfully you added para 2. Having read para 1 I wondered whether it was a pet name for fir;).

I pick up accents quickly when i live somewhere. My once very raw rp is now rather relaxed a lot, much to my parents disgust. Dh found it hilarious how quickly i tuned into the venician accent ( which i love, its like the place, sleepy, dreamlike and just a little drunk or trippy ). And i am sure my accent swinging from carribean to deep south drawl is what got me sent to uk for school. But if i try and do an accent i have no success whatsoever.

:) I have a similar problem. My accent tends to follow the strongest accent of the person I am talking to. I was in a meeting with a Scouse yesterday and at the end, I was close to sounding like her. :rotfl: :o

Mostly I have quite a generic Southern accent.

She is one of the cats. :D

As it was, i did not need cheese for a trippy night. Just before four i was woken by what sounded like buckets of gravel crashing my window. The window was not breaking, nor was gravel hurtling towards it, but the hail and wind was breathtaking, surreal. There is a sort of a groaning feeling when this sort of thing happens and your animals are not tucked up in stabling or barns. Even big dog, sometimes called outdoor dog at home, would not step out into it.

By the time i got down to where the horses were i was already soaked through, the rain and hail forciong them selves through my out door coat (would have worn dizabne, but the length in the wind can turn one into a paraglider so opted for mucking out jacket). The horses were terrified and shivering, and when i had got them in i could not rug them, because they were so wet so i had to just make sure they were out of the weatyher and had plenty of hay to eat.

By the time i got back in, over an hour later, not far off when i would normally be getting up, i was tired, cold, and socking. My skin was that sort of sharp nump, as if one has dressed in ice and razor blades and pink whistley and mauve squeaker would not snuggle up with me to warm me up as i was too cold.

I pulled out the oil filled radiator and the second duvet. I had forgotten that radiator stinks of oil when its on!

This morning we have lost the end of the panel fence in the garden we had not lost in the last high winds.:D

Don't you need one repeat of the chorus in English for Eurovision?

And what was the guy in the yellow t-shirt bringing - was he the host or part of the act?

I’ve found out whilst typing this, it’s still at no.4 on the Russian charts (thanks Luara).. I’m also in the Russian press for telling one of the Avaria guys that he’s a ‘prat’ at the beginning of the month

Tell me what you think to the song guys! I’m getting back to this!

The first year they did the rich list it was interesting, now I really just don't care.
    I think....

Hmmm....I haven't seen Eurovision for a looooonnnnggg time. 'Boom Bang A Bang,' I think it was. :o

It has a good hook line, but the rest is samey and it's too long. Although I haven't a clue what they are singing about, I get the feeling it's not a lot...... Probably PERFECT! :)

The competition's going to be fierce this year. I believe Englbert Humperdinck is doing the UK song........._pale_

It feels to me like two different songs being performed simultaneously - the rap-type thing that the two guys are doing, and the repetitive bouncy dance number that the girl does. Maybe they are trying to appeal to more than one kind of listener?

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

Until recently, MSE marked links that generated income for the website. Now, with Skimlinks, lots of unmarked links also generate income. Have I understood that correctly?

Mine is Kevin Bridges then Frankie Boyle amongst others

You see, Kevin Bridges is probably funny, but I have trouble understanding him and that spoils the fun. :o

I've been re-watching Bill Hicks DVD's yesterday evening inspired by this thread. He was ...ummm...awesome (couldn't find a better word!)

Skim links are on operating in certain boards and only for guests?
    ....as I understood it.

    Does it matter?

It affects the integrity of recommendations made by Martin, but maybe the links on that part of the site are already clearly marked?
