Sounds like both are doing great, happy days.

Yeah, but, i have to say, i didn't relaise how much easier life would be with this over a laptop. I want a desk top computer again for more serious stuff, and hopefully that will last longer than my laptops were lasting.:D

Well, at least it was his money to waste and not mine! I can't see the attraction personally but there you go....his money, his choice.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

This is true, as a general rule if you spend the same on a desktop to laptop the desktop will be significantly better.

I run a powerful desktop to run my business and a powerful netbook (in netbook terms) for on the move.

Ipads are all very well but they can't play crysis 2 as well as my netbook which cost a third of the price.

After a lot of research I decided that laptops, if you can find the right one, were not much better than a desktop of the same price nowadays.

I just got a toshiba laptop from ebuyer for £350 that I'm happy with.

So the police reassured me again, they were content with dog dog bitiong people who are trespassing and with my Not legal dog warning signs. In fact, they said to get more of them!

I still prefer a desktop to a laptop but not by as much now I have contact lenses.

Anyone buy their contact lenses online?

I think I've established the correct strength and may try a few different brands.

I have a scheme where they are sent to me in the post, not quite online as I go into the opticians to get my eyes checked etc.

If this is the first time you are using contact lens I would reccommend that you join a scheme as you really need to get your eyes checked out after wearing them for a few weeks. A bit risky to buy online and have no-one look at your eyes IMHO. I'm part of the D&A/ Boots scheme. It doesn't cost much as I stop the scheme payments whenever I have too many lens at home.

    Haven't we had this conversation???

Not legal? What do they say? "My rottie will bite your botty!"

    ....or worse?

How about, "Muh bad wolfhound will pin ya to de ground!"

Anyway, that settles it: if you can have illegal dog signs I can have a dodgy Free Range Egg sign. :p
