Aww thanks sss....there will be more going up as they are appearing at the school talent show this Thursday and then again at another school Chamber concert next week.

Having two aspergic band members means they like to have everything perfect which may explain the slightly more polished look! Mind you, it does make it harder for them to accept change, as in getting a singer. Middle son can sing but finds it hard to sing and drum although he has now mastered Enter Sandman by Metallica, they very almost played that on Saturday too.

Most amazing thing is that when they did the first gig, they only knew 3 songs now they know loads.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Ooh yes! Run to the hills, run for your lives, because Huthier is here!
    That was really good, Sue.

Not so sure about the vocalist :)

what would the "young, fresh" alternative be?

Commission some decent drama. For £160m (is that really what it costs the BBC for this load of carp?), they could have a load of really good TV, using some of the great talent that we have in this country.

Or, if that is too complicated, just knock £10 off the licence fee and broadcast a test chart instead of Formula yawn. I'd vote for that.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Stupid day. Miserable house hunting, come back, anothergoose gone. On hold to report as a suspectex theft now, and the police say 'how do you know he hasn't just wandered off' well, because his chum is here, they just do not go off individually.

Remind me of the next post on our NP meetup, and thou shalt have thy old TV! It’s 32in, CRT and was about to find its way into the recycling yard!
I didn't know there was a meetup.... I don't need a TV, I am trying to downsize...... and everything I own is something that constantly has to be packed, lifted, carried, unpacked.... and trying to keep my life to a bare minimum of stuff.... which is difficult.

When I do buy a TV it'll be a flat one I can actually lift. You can get 5 flatscreens for the depth of an old CRT :)

Get onto Freecycle. My last email summing up today included offers of two tellies a bed and a bookcase and then I gave up reading it. I'm at the corner of three areas and that was just one of the three emails I get daily.

And while we're at it, what would zagubov look like in Cyrillic?
I am moving .... this week .... need to keep things to a minimum.

I have a telly where I'm moving to this week... in a month's time I'll be (maybe) moving into hotel living .... after that would be the time to think about it.

It seems that upon doing some research instead of just making everything that I was saying up, that I may have excitedly inserted an extra "1" in front of the real cost. Which was more like £60 million / year.

Still, I don't really understand why they couldn't just do what Eurosport does and have the commentary done by a man sitting in a broom cupboard in their manchester offices, watching the race on a TV. I used to love it when watching Eurosport football matches, when the picture cut out (it always cut out at least 5 times during an african cup of nations match or some such rubbish as that) the commentator would say something like "errr...it's all gone dark in here". They should have been able to preserve the live coverage by doing that, but it seems that all they were interested in (according to this highly factual source) is preserving "come clog dancing" on BBC4.

Anyway, the BBC should carry a wide range of programming to suit all markets. F1 got fairly decent viewing figures considering the time of day that it is usually on. I don't object to the BBC making decent drama, but it's not like they have reallocated the money to do that.

They needed to cut costs, so in order to cut the cost of broadcasting F1, they cut races instead of the associated costs of their extravagant coverage (which appears to involve sending dozens of people on 20 expensive holidays a year). Even more annoyingly, the dozens (an unsubstanted number I have made up) of BBC staff still get to go to every race as they did before, but we only get to see 10 of them.

Typical solution formulated by someone who wants to keep enjoying their 20 holidays a year, without considering the fact that they are working for a public service broadcaster and that offering value for money to the licence payer should be their primary consideration.

And whilst we're at it, they can cut the £300k a year salaries of the whole cast of east enders. Ian Beale? £300k? For running a cafe and a chippy. Get out of it.

She was only there for that one song, on her own doing her own style, she is a very good singer but I think she had hit the alcohol and had been shouting/singing along to the guys as they played. One good thing is it gave the boys the experience of playing with a singer and hopefully convince to get their act together and blooming get one! :rotfl:

They've had an offer of a gig...in front of 10,000 people in July, at the moment, their emotions are going from :j to  and back to :j again.

Thanks for the comments though, the boys will be chuffed when I tell them.
