Seems the suit trouser exchange was successful:
Woop Woop!! Trousers sorted! Sweet talked them into printing a re-receipt to use. They were lovely. Enjoy rest of weekend.

    Thanks for the advice all!

must. gather. energy. to. get. into. garden.

went to work for 2.5 hours and i've started wading through the pile of work. it's a bit worrying when your dentist recommends you try to get a less stressful job.

It's kind of you to say that I'm highly skilled and well adjusted (:)) but, no, I didn't find your post insulting.

Actually, I did not mean that you might think my post was insulting(**). I meant that you found this woman's approach insulting, given how much you (and Sue) have battled against. Maybe insulting is not quite the right word?

I felt that it was just worth pointing out that ASD people often seem to find life stressful beyond what you would expect as a direct result of what appears to be wrong with them.

I'm not going to read this woman's thread, or I fear I'll just get as cross as the rest of you. :)

(**) If I'd have thought that, I would not have posted it.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Sorry. Yes I can see now that that's what you meant. TBH I was posting in a hurry with a child or two pestering me to do something or listen to something, and I didn't actually take the time to think what it might be that you feared I might find insulting. My brain only got as far as the idea that you thought I might feel insulted, whereas in fact I don't feel insulted by anything in the case, so I wanted to reassure you and any other NP that I wasn't feeling anything about it personally.

Now Sue, I think, feels that the woman's attitude is insulting to ASD people, and if I'm right about that then I'm right behind her. But ASDs aren't personal for me in the way that they are for her. Now if somebody was belittling the bereaved children, for example.....
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Well, after the Olympic beach volleyball finishes on Horse Guards Parade, there will be 120 really large lorryloads of sand looking for a home. Given the cost of landfill these days, they might be glad if LIR offers to take it. That would be the beach problem solved.

Sigh, and a Manège too. It would be great. I think sand would move too much on my concrete ( have never been involved in the creation of a school) will have to go for rubber i think .

Another sigh, coming to the end of the days energy. On todays 'nutritional support' pill plate was, and ginseng, acai w/green tea, washed down with a berocca with added va va voom, (and another at lunch). Without serious amounts of nutroceuticals i do nothing.
