Re the bible, Song of Songs (aka Song of Solomon) is lovely and rarely read in church. It is my favourite book of the bible.

When I was married, I went for 1st John 4 for the reading (verse 7-8), which I have always liked.

Ah, someone else watching American Idol! I like Joshua a lot, but he won't win. The dancer looked a bit like Kelis, so should be right up michaels street...

I do watch it the odd time and it's usually pretty good. He reminded me of that Liverpool guy from the british one.

I was almost sending michaels a "dirty" PM when I seen his new avatar :D

The second one is her kitchen. She has two ring hob, tiny oven and a wee fridge. And today she said she has one electric point. I have two, and have felt hard done by.:D

I’ve got 6, and still can’t plug my lappy in whilst cooking, as OH superglued an iPad/iPhone charger to the spare one, mainly so that I can’t pull it out, and as we both have both devices, so that we know where the charger is

That's one of the things I remember exactly where I was...

...A few others too, such as Diana dying, the Challenger shuttle disaster, the first Gulf war breaking out, etc.

Weird how we remember such things...

I remember where I was when Elvis died, Diana and 9/11, but there there are other things I also remember.

I wasn't an Elvis fan but I was on holiday so maybe that's how that was so memorable.

I use my ipad in the kitchen, its perfect for recipes, on a stand. I still prefer books though. :)

Lemonjelly, brace yourself.....lits of my cook books bear the battle scars and stickiness from hard days in the kitchen.:D

I want literally dozens of sockets. I plan a dresser style cupboard with sockets at the back of each shelf so all my gedgets, and i plan on having gedgets, can be used almost in situ (roll out shelves) on the days i cannot lift or move them.

We use it for the same thing, and music when we’re in the kitchen.

I’ve got an old book stand that it fits onto, that I nicked from a school when I was teaching about 8 years ago. I’m now statute barred from prosecution :)

I have just checked my kitchen. I have 12 sockets. I have finally found something that I appear to have more of than anyone. Crikey...

I have the power... Mwah ha ha ha!

I might also have least fridge space....

Our undercounter fridge shelves have all broken, so i have the bottom shelf only, which rests on the crispers, so they are almost unusable too. I make sure i only use ingrediant from them when dh is home so he can fish'em out.:o

Can you use some of your flour nd the sultanas to make scotch pancakes/drop scones?
Not without unpacking a frying pan .... which'd be a lot of faff for 2 scotch pancakes... and I'd need to buy milk, then I'd have to find something to do with the rest of the milk.... and it'd only use about 20 sultanas and I have a 1Kg bag (minus a handful I ate one night).

One can make anything .... the problems come from [a] other ingredients you'd not normally have, thus leaving a problem of what to do with the rest of those quantities... 2 scotch pancakes is a portion, so can two be made ..... not worth the hassle.

Although I've eaten scotch pancakes, I've not bothered having any for about 15 years. Hardly going to start eating them every day for 2 weeks now just to get through a bag of flour.
