I've only ever had pancakes with a spoon of sugar on them... except one year when I was round somebody else's house and her dad cooked us pancakes, so I had one with a spoon of jam.... most weird, the jam made my lips go all rubbery!
I cooked pancakes last year .... for my old0 -
Hey gives me a nice excuse to talk about sweet memories, I while a go we did a 'tour' of Scotland, here was the basic plan:
When I say sweet memories I remember between Glasgow and Dundee we stopped at a nuclear bunker http://www.secretbunker.co.uk/
I loved it, other half didn't like being underground much anyway, the funny memory:
Private Percy reporting! :rotfl:(Yes I really have just dared to post a picture of myself)
Well done- you found an interesting place for us to visit- we go to that part of Scotland a lot and I didn't know about that bunker! I removed your photo from your quote so you can now remove your photo if you want and no-one knows you.
There's an interesting town in the south of England called Burlington you might want to look up - it got sold for 5million recently but it had its own road network, BBC studio, post office etc. all underground in case they dropped the big one.
Fascinating, vast and creepy (I'd imagine).
BTW I like the tour of Scotland; looks like the kind of itinerary I would do- I love cityscapes more than landscapes (although Scotland's blessed with both)There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Good work! I had a bacon and mushroom pancake for my main course followed by four pancakes stuffed full of ice cream for dessert. Then I ate the rest of the ice cream.
I did 25kms on the bike in the gym earlier, I reckon that should just about cancel out the first one0 -

Only cooked 4 pancakes tonight (sorry, yesterday now) for DH and DD. (I'm still recovering from Christmas.) My 2 DS's are coming home from Uni tomorrow and have asked for a 'late' Pancake Day, is that allowed? Anyway this is the text I got from the eldest:
"Tomorrow's ingredients:
30 eggs
1kg plain flour
10 litres milk
sugar
toffee sauce
nutella
Think that's itxx"
I text back:
"You cooking?"0 -

My cats are grumpy with the noise of the builders, They keep trying to close the door so they can sleep quietly in the bedroom, but the door doesn't close properly and swings open. So they have gone to sleep with their heads under the covers.
My dogs love the noise of the builders, they think its exciting and want to go to help. They will not settle down at all.0 -
