    Thanks :)

It looks like even Martin Lewis has put on his party hat for me.

Could also be related to MSE's 9th birthday of course.

Happy Birthday Wheezy! Fancy sharing a birthday with MSE. I'm guessing you're a bit older than nine though, so does that make you the original money saving expert?
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

There's an interesting town in the south of England called Burlington you might want to look up - it got sold for 5million recently but it had its own road network, BBC studio, post office etc. all underground in case they dropped the big one.

Fascinating, vast and creepy (I'd imagine).

My Dad's old house sat on top of that. He wasn't concerned, but it did feel as if he was sharing the land with this strange, unseen neighbour, 'down there.' :(

Where would he have stood, I wonder, had he wished to drill for oil? confused-smiley-013.gif

Only cooked 4 pancakes tonight (sorry, yesterday now) for DH and DD. (I'm still recovering from Christmas.) My 2 DS's are coming home from Uni tomorrow and have asked for a 'late' Pancake Day, is that allowed? Anyway this is the text I got from the eldest:
    "Tomorrow's ingredients:
    30 eggs
    1kg plain flour
    10 litres milk
    sugar
    toffee sauce
    nutella

    Think that's it :) xx"

    I text back:

    "You cooking?"

just get her some pancake mix from the supermarket and give her a pan. job done!

....so am I, according to my bus pass, which came this morning. I sent in a rather washed-out portrait that one of the photo booths coughed out, when it was obviously tired after the January rush. Some dear council person clearly thought it needed digital enhancement, so now I have lovely black hair again. :D

Unfortunately, they did an unselective fix, so I also have rather wild and piercing eyes! :rotfl:

Don't think they stretched to 45 candles on the cake due to H&S :D

Welcome to the 45 club

Stoofvlees sounds good. I presume they mean bay rather than laurel? I might try this recipe at the next cold weekend. I have also remembered i have some stew in the freezer that i think would be a nice supper for me :)

Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
