Conquering Debts Once and For All...

Granny where do you get all your funnies from? They do make me smile.
:D:D
I've had quite a busy week doing a job that took two days (on my own) no paying staff or speeding tickets. :rotfl: Then yesterday I had DS1 home sick and then today DS2. Both have quite bad colds. I had to laugh at DS2, he was talking to his girlfriend on the phone this morning because she also has a cold and he came and asked whether she could come over as she was home ill. They really do try it on sometimes, don't they? :rotfl:
Feeling a little sorry for DS1 as he's 16 on Sunday and has a few friends coming over tomorrow and his nose and eyes are streaming. Hopefully he'll get a better night's sleep than last night when he kept coughing.
On a more positive note, I've got an order for two more pairs of my wellington boots and I've sold another item from my shop.:D
Might be a couple of days before I get to post as it's a busy weekend, not only is it DS2's birthday on Sunday but it's also Father's Day here in NZ.Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

Glad you like it but yet again the one here is not the one I posted. The one I posted was about driving but now its about Pinocchio, which has absolutely no relevance to anything posted here.

Gx2 - I'm going to pop to my diary in a minute to see what yesterday's cartoon has turned into. I'll be a little disappointed if it hasn't miraculously changedx

I'm pleased the wellies are doing well for you, so they should as they are gorgeous!
I've noticed granny's cartoons changing. I think it's a little too much of the wine from granny's cellar :rotfl:Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Well I must have drunk rather a lot the night I posted them as the one in my diary has changed again today. I wonder if this one will again too at some point :rotfl:Targets

It's a wet and windy start to the week here. A bit different to the lovely weather we had over the weekend. We had our first bbq of the spring for DS1's birthday. He and we had a lovely day. He had 5 friends over and they were very well behaved, playing guitar or games on the computer, followed by the bbq and then we all sat in the lounge and watched a film.
Yesterday was DS1's actual birthday but also Father's Day, so poor Mr F was given a rude awakening at 8.30a.m. by having an omelette shoved under his nose! :rotfl: DS1 really wanted to open his presents but wanted to give dad breakfast in bed, as is the tradition.
Mid-morning we headed into town so DS1 could spend some of his birthday money, it was already burning a hole in his pocket. :rotfl: He got a band t-shirt and a CD. I said I was treating them all to lunch and asked where they wanted to go: Burger King was the answer. Not sure that's what I had in mind but hey ho we rarely go to fast food restaurants so off we went. We bumped into a couple of friends so that was a bonus.
I even managed to buy a dress, cardigan and belt in the sales, I wasn't looking for anything and it wasn't in the budget, but I think Mr F thought it would cheer me up a bit. It's a gorgeous summer dress in shades of purple with a bit of black.
Back home by mid-afternoon as we were all flagging. So the rest of the day was spent watching tv and a film.
DS2 is still not feeling very well this morning so I've decided to keep him home again today. Will see how he is later on today.Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

Well, I'm pleased to report both boys back at school today.
It's been another wet and blustery day here. So much so that I haven't left the house. Instead, I've spent the time giving the bathroom a good clean and doing some paperwork.
When filing a recent Visa statement I realized we'd manage to pay $1,000 off in 5 months. :j No mean feat when you consider I've had very little work recently. What we have done though is kept the payments the same amount each month regardless of the minimum payment due.
If my calculations are correct, we've paid off 2.95% in 8 months - by my reckoning we should be over the 3% mark by the end of this month. I'm not sure what's going to happen after this month as despite putting in several applications, I'm yet to here back from any prospective employers.
I've also finally started a blog about our life focussing specifically on my crochet, our veggie garden and our money saving efforts. I managed to get 6 likes on my first post.:D

By the way, granny the post seems to have changed to one with a clown now instead of Pinocchio. :rotfl::rotfl:Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All
