  • It was the start of week two of my new job. I must say it was far better than my first day. I was a little more relaxed and still in training and it wasn't quite as busy so the people were more relaxed too.

I'm still having a few computer issues but am managing to at least log on and read emails/post a little without it taking forever.

Going to keep it short tonight as I'm quite tired, so will head to bed shortly, although it being Guy Fawkes night there are still lots of fireworks being let off.

Thanks Granny. Things are rolling along quite nicely at the moment. My PC is still running frustratingly slow so i'm unable to stand being on it for too long BUT as part of our new new mortgage deal we get a Samsung Galaxy Tablet so hopefully in a couple of weeks things will improve. :D

  • I've had a lovely day today. The weather has been glorious and I got to spend the whole day with all my boys (OH included) and DS2's girlfriend. :) DS2 had a haircut and while he was at the barbers, Mr F, DS1 and me went for a coffee. We even managed a free one as I had a loyalty card. Hardly use it but obviously worth having. ;)

Then we headed into town as we promised DS1 a power charger (for the distortion pedal) for his guitar, as a reward for reaching a high distinction in Science at school. DS1 bought himself some headphones, so he was happy. Me, I got a couple of summer tops for work and then we treated the boys and ourselves to a lovely lunch.

It was a great feeling knowing that I could do this (for the first time in about 2 years) without feeling guilty that I was spending money. :D

Tonight, we're having homemade pizzas (hm dough too) and settling down to watch a Harry Potter marathon of DVD's. Yay, more time with my favourite people. Have bought a well deserved bottle of red for Mr F and me to enjoy.

  • Well I must have jinxed the weather buying those lovely summer tops, it's been wild, windy and wet for the past few days. Hopefully the sun will be out again before too long, after all it's nearly summer.

There's been a slight change of plan in our debt busting efforts. We decided, on the advice of our accountant, to make a 'cheeky' offer to our former Master Franchisors, to repay the outstanding loan to them. With a little negotiation, they have agreed to us paying half of the outstanding balance to them in full and final settlement of the loan. This means we will save approx $6000 and free up $490 per month. :D So the car loan will remain, for now.
