  • I bet I'm still up before Mr F.

Here I am and guess where Mr F is?? You got it still languishing in bed. :rotfl: I really don't know how he can sleep so long, particularly as it's a sunny day.

Well, other than some baking and sorting my car out ready for tomorrow, I'm really not sure what's on the agenda for today. I wonder if I can persuade Mr F and the boys to go for a walk?

    Here's my update for today:
    • Lasagne made for DS2's birthday tea tomorrow evening.
    • Meringues made ready for pavlova, again for DS2's birthday tea.
    • Biscuits made for lunch boxes (and some for freezer).
    • Another load of towels washed and line dried (I don't know where they keep coming from)! :o
    • Prepared wage slip etc. ready to pay my staff member tomorrow.
    • Walk by the river with Mr F and DS1 and DS2. It was a good walk with lots of laughter. I'm sure people must think we're crazy when they see some of the hand gesture and movements we made. :rotfl::rotfl:
    • Equipment put in car ready for tomorrow.

We got invited to the speedway this afternoon but I was very good and said, no thank you. It wasn't in the budget (and we've had a few non budgeted days recently) and would have cost us about $60 plus petrol.

Another unexpected cost today was renewing our domain name for another couple of years. Must remember to put that in the budget for next time.

Mr F is cooking dinner, roast chicken with roast pots and veg! Can't wait, I'm starving after the walk. Oh and DS made pancakes for breakfast, they were way better than mine. :rotfl:

Only thing left to do is wrap DS2 presents ready for the morning. :D

Hi, just dropped by for a catch-up . Sounds like all is well at the other side of the world, which is always good to hear :).

Congrats to DS2 on his school work and I hope he has a lovely birthday tomorrow (or today, as it will be over here!). He has really deserved his pressies, and lasagne and pavlova is exactly what I would choose for my birthday tea if I had chance!

    Enjoy your day x

I'm ashamed to admit that after promising to be back the other day to catch up, I never did return, but then my ears began burning this evening , and I find talk of Ze Secret Rendevouz Vino Bar is underway and I couldnt get here quick enough !!

One question for you all though, is that if we are rich enough ( in the not so distant future:rotfl: ) to own the bar, drink the bar dry, fly the lovely Mrs Fluffy over here to join us, does it really have to be in Blighty ? Couldnt it be somewhere more exotic instead please ?

On another note, it sounds as though your lovely DS had a great birthday, doesnt it make you proud when they say thankyou so much, rather than sullenly accepting the presents without so much of an appreciative grunt ! What lucky parents we all are !! I'm so glad he enjoyed his day ! I swear DD2 is still sleepign with a smile on her face and her birthday was Saturday !

How was the microwaveable chocolate cake this time around, please humour me and tell me it was disatrous like mine?!!

Cant believe you and Mrs B are crocheting buddies, I dont think I could sit still long enough to crochet, I have no patience ! But many moons ago, at the grand old age of 19 I moved to the quietest , tiniest village, with the most boring job in the world. I was so fed up I took up embroidery and actually beautifully emboidered all the letters of the Alphabet. My family have never let me live it down, as it was so unlike me !! The thing is , it was actually rather good, yet ask me to sew on a button and you have Bob Hope and No Hope !! :rotfl:

I'd best make sure my passport is up to date. :D So, where we headed, if not to blightly? Exotic sounds good.

I've got a smile on my face just reading that your DD2 is still sleeping with a smile on her face. They do say, if you smile the world smiles with you. :D Very contageous.

Chocolate cake being made on Friday when he has several friends over for a sleepover! Pavlova was the order of the day on Monday, sans fruit as DS2 doesn't eat fruit of any description. :o

I'm hopeless at sewing too! Although it sounds like you enjoyed making your embroidered alphabet. Do you still have it as a reminder. :)
