  • I didn't have the time to post last night, long day which involved 3 hours driving!! It did mean it was a NSD though, so that's good. :D

Today I have a day at home but have a few things to do:
    • Hang washing on line and hope the forecast showers hold off long enough for it to dry!
    • Clean kitchen as Mr was on cooking duty last night and it looks like a war zone in there.
    • Run vacuum around downstairs.
    • Go the Post Shop and get a copy of my licence label as I've misplaced my new one. Oops. :o
    • Put some bread in the breadmaker.
    • Work out what we're having for dinner.
    • Sort out some of my cleaning rags, resew the edges so they don't fray.
    • Talk to dad on Skype tonight.:D

Will try and catch up on everyone's diaries later today.

  • [STRIKE]Hang washing on line and hope the forecast showers hold off long enough for it to dry![/STRIKE] 2 loads, washed, dried and put away.
[STRIKE]Clean kitchen as Mr was on cooking duty last night and it looks like a war zone in there.[/STRIKE] Done.
Run vacuum around downstairs.Decided to leave this until tomorrow as I find myself with a hormone headache. Loud noises not welcome here today.
[STRIKE]Go the Post Shop and get a copy of my licence label as I've misplaced my new one. Oops. [/STRIKE]Copy of label obtained and I'm now legal again. :D
[STRIKE]Put some bread in the breadmaker.[/STRIKE]One wholemeal loaf done.
[STRIKE]Work out what we're having for dinner.[/STRIKE]Made cottage pie with cauli, cabbage and swede.
Sort out some of my cleaning rags, resew the edges so they don't fray. Decided to leave this until next week as I have more free time and it's quite time consuming.
Talk to dad on Skype tonight. Will be talking to him in 30 mins. :D

Not such a good day spend wise, although I guess it depends which way you look at it. I bought 2 new bras (badly needed) and they were half price, so saved 50%. I also bought a bread slicer guide as the boys keep wasting bread by slicing unevenly, so another money saving device. :rotfl: I also bought some wrapping paper as we've run out and I had to wrap DS2's birthday presents in Christmas paper (I guess that was very MSE of me). :p

The Xmas wrapping paper is a favourite of mine . Birthday pressies are often found to be wrapped in it, or boy presents in girly paper or vice versa . A black Sack was used last year for Mr Pinot with a pink bow, and the silver foil has also been back up before now as well. I refuse to use gift tags anymore and scrawl accross the present in big black marker pen ! The girls find it funny, but Im not sure what other people thought especially at Xmas when they handed me beautfiully wrapped gifts and theirs were covered in marker pen !!

Sounds like all of your spends were warranted, the bread slicer sounds a good idea, I had never thought of that ! :D

  • Yep, done the black bin bag thing myself. :rotfl: I don't usually use gift tags, unless I absolutely have to. I have a little store in one of my cupboards which has ribbons and the gauze wrapping you get around nice bouquets of flowers and for that extra special touch will use something from this supply. I hate to throw anything away and love recycling so, this works well.

  • :j It's the long Easter weekend. :( Mr F and I have to work tomorrow morning before the hoards arrive for DS2's party. Not good timing but needs must.

All food shopping being delivered tonight as no chance to get to the sm. The party goers are going to be making their own pizzas so have ordered lots of things like, ham, chicken, pepperoni, capsicum, mushrooms etc. That way they can all have what they like. :D Will make my infamous microwave chocolate cake for the birthday cake. Pinot I'll let you know how I get on. :rotfl: Might even post a picture of it, if you're lucky :p.

Mr F is just going to get us a takeaway for tea as I've only just sat down. It's been a long day and tomorrow is going to be even longer. So not the NSD I was hoping for but I'm too shattered to cook dinner and my freezer meals are running low.

DS2 had another appointment with psychologist today who said he has made great progress and she doesn't want to see him for another month! :T He got another award at school today, managed to join in two events at the 'house' sports day and has done all his homework that the pscyhologist gave him. So one proud mummy tonight! :D:D

Uh, not so sure about this one. I've put self raising flour in instead of plain. I always have them in the same place in the cupboard, plain on the right, sr on the left but someone (I suspect Mr F) put them in the other way around. It's in the microwave as we speak so we shall see. I might have to make another one! Watch this space....
