    Hi Kerri_dfw and welcome. :D

Well another NSD for me today. My third in a row. :j Tomorrow most definitely won't be though as Mr F has a dr's appointment to discuss his blood test results. Plus he needs his repeat prescription and the dr needs to complete a form for us, so going to be expensive.

We've finally managed to get a day free tomorrow... our job has been moved to Friday. Not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing as that's 2 small jobs and one medium job for Friday. But it does mean we can have some time to ourselves away from work as Mr F goes back to his 'real' job on Monday. We're heading to the coast for the afternoon and will almost certainly have lunch out.

Got paid from one of our customers yesterday so have been able to pay a few business bills but am still waiting for a couple of others to pay. One of them is a regular late payer. That said, they do pay up albeit a couple of weeks late.

Oh have a lovely time. You deserve it.

Warm, wet and windy...why did you move from Scotland then??:rotfl:..oh maybe it was the temperature bit!! Do think about the panels. Not sure how much they will be over in NZ but over here the FIT makes them a good investment. I also love the way we are getting money every day from doing nothing....

Wow, just catching up again , what a week so far !! Great news on all that extra work. Its interesting to hear what you do ! I had you down as a gardener, isnt that funny ?!! I often while away a bit of boredom while I am doing the Accounts thinking what people do for a living or what they look like !! Its great that MR F can help you out though.

I really hope you enjoy your afternoon and lunch together and trust that you DS is feeling much better.

  • This is where we spent our afternoon :D:D

    MtMaunganui.jpg

This is Mount Maunganui (where the Rena ran aground on the Astralabe reef and caused an oil spill). Fortunately the clean up has been so good there are currently no signs of the spill on the beach (although we didn't get up close and personal to the nearby rocks).

We had fish and chips (or as the kiwis say 'fush and chups') :rotfl: Very fresh and yummy, washed down with refreshing cider. The weather played ball and it was hot with a breeze.

On the way home we stopped to pick up a second hand vacuum we bought for the business. Going to put it to good use and use it tomorrow as we have 3 jobs on.

Mr F also had a dr's appointment this morning to discuss his blood results. He has got very high cholesterol levels and has been put on medication that he'll have to take for the rest of his life. :( He has to have another test in 3 months to see how the tablets are working. He also has to go for a glucose blood test as his blood sugar was borderline. I think I'm more worried than Mr F who seems to think taking tablets will sort it out. I guess it will be up to me to do some research what we can do try and bring his cholesterol down.

:rotfl::rotfl: I really couldn't see myself as a gardener PG. I'm enjoying trying to my hand at growing veggies but I'm ashamed to say the rest of my garden is looking neglected at the moment. :o

DS1 is feeling much better thanks. :)

What a beautiful spot. I'm so pleased you got to enjoy the afternoon off together, just what you needed. And 'fush and chups' and cider too, yum! Though I'd guess Mr F will have to cut back on the fried food and alcohol now, will he? Hope he's feeling OK, and it's good really that it isn't worrying him - stress is bad for the health too.

I agree with Pinot about how interesting it is to learn facts about the people behind these diaries. I always try to be reasonably secretive on mine, but when I read back to myself some of the stuff I've written, I could be sooo easily identified by anyone who actually knows me!

Mrs F it looks beautiful and makes me long for the beach, "Fush, Chups and Cider on the beach sounds like a perfect day to me !

So sorry to hear of Mr F's health problems and try not to worry too much , from I can understand High Cholesterol can usually be managed with diet and tablets.

Hee Hee your right Mrs Happy, I read mine back and think, there is someone out there reading who knows exactly who I am !! Especially when I talk about things the girls are up too !! Mr Pinot said to me last night that one day I will get a PM and it will begin with Hello ******* ( my real name !) rather than Hello Mrs Pinot and it will frighten the life out of me ! :rotfl:

Hope the jobs go well for you today x

  • Finally.... some time to myself to catch my breath. What a hectic week that was. We even ended up working on Saturday! Good job the boys are old enough to take care of themselves now. :p Of course, it doesn't matter what time you walk through the door the first thing they want to know is "what's for tea"? :rotfl::rotfl:

Sunday was spent catching up on all the every day stuff we'd neglected for the previous few days, lots of washing, drying, tidying up (just a little), grocery shopping for the week plus of course the obligatory baking of cookies for the school lunch boxes. :) That was of course, after having a bit of a lie in. I think we deserved one.

I wish I could say because we were so busy we had a couple of NSD but alas, that was not the case. We ended up having to buy some lunch on Saturday as we had run out of bread and because we've been making our own in the breadmaker, and had forgotten to put some one, we had none left in the freezer. On the plus side it was quite nice to sit down for half an hour and have a piece of quiche and a coffee as we were heading back to finish the house we started on Friday.

Yesterday I ran the vacuum round, hung out 3 lots of towels and managed to get them all dry, went to the cleaning supply company as my wall duster had broken, collected the rest of my wool order from the post shop and as the sun was shining, managed to sit outside for 30 minutes soaking it up. It was also Mr F's first day in his new role. He reported everything went well so hopefully he'll be less stressed from now on.

Today has been spent getting the business accounts up to date, chasing overdue payments, more washing and cleaning of bathroom and toilet. I have also got a chicken roasting in the oven for dinner. Hopefully there'll be some lo for lunch tomorrow.

I've started my next crochet project which is a ripple blanket using the merino wool I just received. :j It's one of the patterns in Jan Eaton's book of 200 ripple patterns.

Oh and lest I forget, I received interim school reports for DS1 and DS2 and they are both very good :T and DS2 received an Achievement Award today. :j:j

Today has also been a NSD.
