  • So, am just sat watching the Big Bang Theory, with a bowl of popcorn and updating my diary. How's that for multi-tasking?? It's been a heck of a day and I'm shattered but looking forward to my Skype call to dad in about 20 minutes.

Had a NSD. :j I remembered to put the chicken in the slow cooker this morning for dinner tonight so just had veg to chop and cooker. Popped in a bit of white wine, onion, carrot, oxo cube and herbs. Mmmm.

    How was dinner? Sounded yum.

We had lovely R@verford lamb burgers for tea with salad and chunky chips...also yum!

We also travelled round the SI about 7 years ago! In a camper van! OH also had a job offer..but on balance didn't want to give up his staff job for what could have been a temporary move. But it was on the cards for a while. very close friends have been affected by the earthquake. Grim. But they came over to Europe last summer and it was so good to see them. The stress of the aftershocks was clearly a big strain. Lots of people have moved away haven't they and not returned yet.

A nice day here altho not that sunny. OH and I did some decluttering..yay! It's mainly books tho so will be going to my mum for her fete.. Can't see point of eBaying them. We were about to Freecycle some shelves before OH spotted they were worth at least £80 new..so we will try and EBay them.

    Cheers

Dinner was delicious. The chicken was tender and moist and we had carrots, broccoli and cauliflower with it.

I have lots of friends in and around Christchurch and they are still suffering the aftershocks on a daily basis. For some people it has just been too hard and they have upped sticks and moved either to another part of NZ or to Australia. Very sad. :(

  • Phew, still haven't managed to catch up on everyone's diaries, sorry folks.

So, today has been a day of appointments. One first thing this morning for me and Mr F with DS2's psychologist to discuss progress, how we can help him further and where to from here. Then I dropped Mr F at the cricket for the day while I managed to fit in a hair cut. Yes, you heard me... a haircut. It's only been 6 months. :rotfl::rotfl: Cost me $30 and you can't even tell it's been cut, still I feel better for it. I even managed to find 30 minutes to go and buy a new bra :p before heading home for a quick (late) lunch. Then off to school to collect DS2 and head back to the psychologist for his weekly appointment.

In between all this I also managed to find some time to semi-sort our monthly budget and move some money into our pots.

Still trying to decide whether to spend tomorrow at the test match cricket with Mr F. I have so much to do but we would be on our own (well apart from a few hundred other cricket fans) :rotfl::rotfl: and it's supposed to be sunny. Perhaps I'll see what I feel like in the morning.

Night all (well morning for you) x

Sorry Ive been a bit elusive. :o

You sound as though you are feeling a little better. I'm glad you managed you haircut, but doesnt it drive you mad when you spend the money then cant tell the differnce ? This time I decided to get them to chop a bit more off, so that you could tell it had been cut , but then I hated it !!! Its growing back now, but too slowly for my liking !! Never happy eh ?

I hope you do decide to spoil yourself and go to the cricket. I'm sure it will do you the world of good. :D We were lucky enough to be working away last year in the West Indies and managed to fit in a few matches. I had no idea what on earth was going on, but throughly enjoyed lapping up the sunshine with a Rum Punch !! :D

Hope all went well with the psychologist's appointment and you enjoyed your chat with your Dad x

Hah..cricket rules.. They fox me! But I discovered 20:20... Now I can understand the basic presumption there..whack it all over the ground as fast as possible! Much more understandable from my perspective!

Mrs F..I would go. You can't beat a day out minus the kids with a glass of alcohol in your hand!!

  • Well, guess what Mr F didn't bother to wake me this morning and has gone to the cricket without me. I wonder if he was trying to tell me something?? :rotfl::rotfl: Oh well, I guess I'll be spending the day at home with the boys after all. At least it's a lovely sunny day so I might have to sit out in the garden with a cup of tea instead.:rotfl::
