  • I make mine with minced beef, sausage meat, made up stuffing, an egg & tomato puree, mix the whole lot together & cook it in a loaf tin lined with parchment. It comes out solid & slices easily.

I want to use 500gm beef, 400 gms lamb and bacons bits are on hand.

Please may I ask for a brilliant recipe that doesn't dry out and remains tasty when cold?

    Many thanks in advance.

Thankyou Pink-winged - I put variations of term into Search, but didn't come up with a specific Thread. Felt sure there must be one somewhere, so thanks again.

Tried Jamie's dinner lady's recipe, post 2 on this Thread and regret I don't rate it greatly - could put pine kernels to better use, too.
It seemed bland, unexciting, wrong sort of chompy....
