How old were you when you went to your first gig.

So, so jealous!
I saw Anthrax and Metallica (and Slayer and Megadeth) at Sonisphere festival last year, they all played Am I Evil together at the end, awesome.
Motorhead were there too but it was the day after Wurzel's death and they were obviously in bits.
Looking forward to Sabbath and Metallica this year at Download. Sabbath were a bit creaky last time I saw them 12 years ago, I dread to think what they'll be like now!Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

This is going to date me...
I was 14 when I first went to London by coach with my youth club to see the Beatles. It was second best cos they refused to take us to see the Stones . Seen the Stones since and at both gigs no-one could hear the groups due to so many screaming girls (including me).
My mum used to send me off with a quarter lb of soft jellies to suck in the interval to ease my throat from all the screaming.
If you're talking of dating yourself, I was 14 when I went to see the Stones - they were second on the bill to John Leyton!:o0 -
Well he is there and he has managed to meet up with other fans from the fan club!!!!
glad he is sticking to letting me know how he is.
I don't expect to hear from him now until after the event. Which i think he said finished at 10 then he has to get to Victoria for the mega bus that leaves at 11.50pm.
i know that next time i wouldn't be so bad, I'm just fretful now as its the first time, and there's me worrying about this when he goes of flying prop planes and gliders with the cadets0 -

I was a late starter, I saw InXS when I was 17. I wanted to go before then but there was nowhere close by so I had to wait until I was old enough to pay and make my own way!
I made up for it since then. I've seen some amazing acts.0 -

in 1989 I went to see The The at the (now defunct) Town & Country Club in Kentish Town.
It was tops and I met Johnny Marr outside <swoon>Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
mmm - memories - I was 13 and saw The Supremes first tour without Diana Ross at The Odeon in Manchester, tickets cost 50p:o. There were two shows, one at 6.30pm and one at 9pm. My friend and I got tickets right at the back at the 9pm show and my sister and her boyfriend had to come with us or my dad wouldn't let us go.:) Only have to hear 'Up the ladder to the roof' to bring back that night all over again.... Happy days.Bern :j0
