Not doing too bad so far this week although haven't managed my 5 a day yet!

We had Chinese last night as tea at my parents' house was postponed until lunch today due to the snow! However, I had Chicken and Mushroom which is only 5.5 syns and no chips or anything with it!

    Keep it up everyone!

angchris..............I do not make different foods for different member of the family......we all eat together the same as what I am eating.........fair enough I eat a huge amount more veg than they do but other than that my kids are well on board with the individual sugar free jellies, muller light yoghurts, my little one loves fromage frais, bananas, grapes, can't keep the kids off rice cakes, it is all there for them to eat and they love it... the freshly made salads in the fridge with the peppers, cucumbers, tuna, sardines...porridge, weetabix anything that is there they seem to be lapping it up:D

Even the walking to the park, cycling they are very involved in:D

  • hiya everyone! Angchris, I am very impressed at your dedication cooking different meals foryour family. At the very least they should be doing the washing up for you! I would echo Joji in recommending you have a look at the losing weight recipes collection. The SW magazine is also good. Your OH need never know that it's diet food! I have a deal with my OH - he agrees to try things and if he doesn't like them he has the right to buy (out of his pocket) a pizza or something, and i agree not to make it again for him. I find that if i do something like a quorn shepherds pie he's quite happy with it as long as he gets a couple o sausages with it and some bisto gravy - i have bovril. I find a great SW green meal is sausage and mash - i have quorn ones, he has proper ones, I use my milk allowance to do the mash and we do the gravy thing again. And consultant will be along any minute now to tell you about egg and chips . . . . . . mmmmmmm
  • I weighed myself this morning, and yay it looks like I'm finally back on this diet track. The past couple of weeks I've been losing and gaining the same 2lbs. Just 1lb off having lost 1/2 stone since Christmas, which I guess would mean I am on target for losing 2 stone this year.

Right off to PM LoisLane about the 2lb weight loss club.

Many thanks for that, i will take your advice as I must admit was a bit nervous of no syns at all

Got straight back into it today and am even going to gym at 5.30pm. I teamed up with a friend ( who chickened out of joining SW) and we paid for a personal training session together. Gave us a great programme with different things everytime we go (3x week) Great motivation for me.

Aiming for the 5 a day challenge too now...2 so far!
