  • lol, I was just passing on information.

As I said, depending on each district it may well be lower. As they are so behind with the sifting, and don't have definite numbers, they used 80% as a "safe" mark.

I myself had in the 70s so will be hoping it will be the case!

Yeah I kno I got 68 and keep checking my account on an ongoing basis with the hope that my mark has gone up.... That in itself is a bit weird that people's marks have started to go up.... In the kindest way possible if 40% (optimistic) of the 80 + scores have rubbish competencies I just hope I might squeeze in....

Or... If my area average is rubbish I might have a chance I just wonder how many people applied in the black country

  • just heard from a manager that if you applied for more than one district you will be considered for the other ones in order of application e.g if you applied for Bham and solihull first and completed the test and then subsequently applied for black country, then staffs, worcestershire your application will fisrt be considered for bham solihull

the reason they are doing this is because they want to spread out the interviews, the interview panel for bham have a meeting in the next couple of days to re-deceide on the pass mark and they will start there sift on the 11/02/2012

So those of us who applied for posts in Birmingham will be waiting until at least the 11th to hear anything?

If it has really taken this long to schedule a meeting to decide on the pass mark for the test and the sift isn't scheduled to start for another ten days, then this is going to be a very, very long process!

The April start dates are suddenly looking a little optimistic!

I am assured that the start dates will definitely be on or around 5th April, with interviews being held on 24th Feb to 8th March inclusive. Based on that, I think we should hear at the end of next week or the following week.

If they are expecting Bristol to get a CRB check back in 4 weeks they will be highly dissapointed. My last enhanced CRB took 16 weeks and the last normal one I had done took 9 weeks. Its now taking the organisation I work for 6 months to recruit someone......

They don't require a CRB check but a basic Disclosure Scotland check which takes only a few weeks opposed to months.
