DWP will wait to see how many of the current AOs applying externally for the EO posts will be successful before advertising for more AOs to fill the gaps. They'll know until after all the EO interview results are through and successful candidates are in post. I've heard though that they'll be advertised towards the end of February.
Not sure they'll be taking on any AAs though.
If you register on the Civil Service site you can get job alerts sent to your email address so you won't have to keep checking the site.0 -

1600 in the 80th percentile or above? Gosh. I hope my competency statements make a large enough difference.0 -

I am quite cross with this response. I was one of the last FTAs and although I am probably as cross as all the other FTAs who either lost or got demoted from their job we were taken on as fixed term. I like others hoped we would be made permanent but it wasn't to be and even though I am agrieved at having to apply again for a job I have done before that's the was it is. If you would do anything differently let's hear it. If not don't put others down or state FTAs are taking things lying down when you don't know peoples circumstances.0 -

You do know that FTA means Fixed Term Appointment, don't you?
Some were lucky enough to have their contracts extended and recently made permanent.
Some HOPED that their contracts would be extended.
Some accepted that they were only Fixed Term but were grateful to have a job.0 -
It seems appalled12 has just joined and made 1 outlandish post just to be rude to others on here when appalled12 hasn't got a clue what they are talking about. :mad:0

It's unfortunate that some on this forum are unwilling to participate in democratic debate/dialogue, but then again, therein lieth the rub, since, in these times of austerity, why does it appear that no-one on this forum is proactively challenging how the Taxpayers' money is being spent - I am, what's your excuse!!! Buck up and stop being so precious!!!
I don't mean to be funny but me and many other people are using this forum to seek additional information in regards to our applications for the dwp EO positions.... If I wanted to pro-actively challenge how taxpayers money is spent.
1. I would open a new forum and discuss such ideas
2. Write a letter to my local MP
3. If I was that passionate Id go all the way to London and protest outside the houses of parliament.
Thats nothing against yourself but I think it should be done somewhere else.:A:D0 -
Do you mean just whilst they process your application?
Because the job vacancy said ;
Unless that was specific to certain areas?
It's definitely a Basic Disclosure Scotland Check that they do which is merely a check for unspent convictions. I had one when I was onn a fixed term appointment.
It probably says CRB on the website as they used a standard generic template for the advert.0
