Appalled are you a drunk English literature lecturer?0

Just one last thing for the troll. I actually work in the place you hate so much and what I have learnt is there is a time and a place to say what you think which you don't seem to understand. At work I treat everyone as they should be treated whatever there gender, sexuality or ethnic background. I'm not at work now and you are just a sad little prat who has nothing better to do but to be rude to people for your enjoyment.0

I think appalled12 is just letting out some steam, but like people have said this is "DWP Recruiting Again - 2012" thread and people don't necessarily care about that information.
If we like it or not, it's a employers market out there and slavery is in fashion. I can't tell you the amount of time I was offered work for free or below minimum wages.
The bright British society (probably the majority) is some of the most happy-go-lucky people.
So instead of fighting it I just go with the flow, more immigration please, more European union, More cuts please, 3rd world country please, thanks!0 -

Forget about aptitude, background or capability, just tick enough boxes and you're in! Why don't some of you people question anything? Sad to say, Britain is choc-a-bloc with sheeple. It makes the perfect captive audience - please think for yourselves (I know that there are many well-intentioned and sincere people subscribing to this forum, however, I feel saddened when people are grateful for !!!! jobs when they are qualified for so much more). Sure, the economic climate is woeful but please don't sell yourselves short! There is a sinister hidden agenda here and, despite the 'austerity' soundbites we're constantly being fed, there's more money about than we're being led to believe. Please don't accept this 'drip, drip, drip' mind control that's being perpetrated!!!
Aha, he said the S Word. It makes sense now! THESE DWP JOBS ARE PART OF THE NEW WORLD ORDER!!!!! OMG!ZZ!ZZ!Z!Z!Z! 9/11 WAS SET UP BY THE REPTILEZZZZZZZZ!!
Seriously, jog on. Go and buy some more tin foil, you've just shown that your points are not valid or constructive; you're just another internet nutter.0 -
The employer suite in broad street jcp has been booked for 27th feb onwards to conduct interviews for the bham and Solihull district spoke to the suite manager the other day it may be delayed by another week but this is the provisional date, also the AO positions will be advertised district wide and the better you do in test and interview the less choice you will get in where you want to work so you will be placed in a very busy office that needs you most the EO posts will offer choice where reasonable.0

Thanks for that information. I suppose next week or the week after is when I'll hear anything regarding my application.
Any idea how many of the 1600 applicants who passed the tests at the 80th percentile or above they will select for interview? I'm assuming they'll whittle that down to about 400, if there are 100 posts.0 -

It seems strange that the better you do the less choice you have! :mad:0 -
B and S are one of the district I applied for but would be my last choice out of the ones I applied for just on distance so I am hoping I get offered BC first but don't want to withdraw from Birm just yet in case I don't get offered anywhere else. Seemed a good idea at the time but now realise it would be a nightmare journey.0
