Another problem of having the test after the competencies is you get an idea from the test the kind of things they are looking for and the kind of "speak" they want - I would have done my competencies a little differently if I'd done it after the test so that might have been the same for others.0 -
I'm a bit iffy about my competency answers, I went through point by point and addressed as much as I could but 200 words isn't a lot and there was some overlap. I was thrown a bit by how it said "using your experiences" at the top when in the past you had to use only one example/situation per question.0

I don't see why it would be the case. Maybe its 3/15 for between 60-80% or maybe its 1/15, I wouldn't have expected such a low pass rate at all - clearly a lot of people didn't "get" the competency bit ...just hoping I did!0 -

Me too, but I did download the form and work to the template that was listed there so I'm hopeful... but I'm not the one who marks these so meh.0 -
I found the competency statements hard as the guidance seemed to be overlapping waffle. I did find that having written them, my wife pulling them to bits helped. Though it was a bit, this one will do for leadership, this for managing people etc..
I assume as there are large number of people marking them they will have a check list of words or phrases that win points. Whilst I was happy with my five little "stories", I suppose I should have done two different competencies for the different area I applied for. The second one as a more cynical "guess which word they are looking for" exercise0 -
