I'm praying that I won't have to go through this almost 4 and a half month process again!
I think this is what could potentially happen, this is probably the reason why the reserve lists are so big!
I would imagine it costs a lot of money to do a recruitment campaign, so why the hell would they want to do another one, when there are LOTS of people that have already gone through it, and passed the requirement for EO roles just waiting for a job!
I know how you all feel now with regards to waiting! I had my interview for an EO role last week.... the wait it killing me!!0 -

I hope wiser sense prevails and this is what they do but you just never know. The wait is so frustrating and seems too long and I can't even imagine going through another long winded exercise.
I just called the recruitment helpline and advised that I've accepted my provisional offer. I was told I would not get any acknowledgement. I seriously felt sorry for the guy I spoke to. He said he only does not admin and unable to provide me with even indicative timescales of when I might hear. He said it could be few days, few weeks or couple of months. He did confirm as an existing CS I dont need to complete any further steps just wait. It all depends on local business needs and they would work as directed by operations. He was not able to provide any information, not even rough timescales. How odd to provide a helpline number yet not provide any info to staff taking calls.
Anyone from B&S, BC or Staffs & Shrop--- can you please let me know if you hear anything and I'll do the same.0 -
Has anyone got the Health Declaration form attached to their provisional offer email. I can't find it anywhere. Any ideas where I could get one from? Thanks0

Have accepted the offer, submitted the 'next stage' on 20th April. No feedback , no acknowledgement , no communication, no status change, still showing provisional offer. I had submitted the enhanced disclosure form on interview day and the form that says the disclosure should be sent to dwp directly. One referee tutor other is a friend, none of them been contacted so far.
No news(east Scotland) . Recruitment told me that if you don't like the location then don't reject the offer or withdraw the application rather talk to them, they may be able to offer you another location to accommodate you. Hth0 -

Phoned Disclosure Scotland yesterday to ask if they were processing my vetting forms. They advised that they received them on the 27th April (was offered the job the week before) and that their turn around on them is 11 calendar days. My referrees haven't been contacted as yet from what I understand.0

Still no news from my Durham and Tees Valley application. Very strange. I emailed recruitment today to see if anything is happening so am hoping they will get back to me.
I very much doubt reserve lists will be used to fill any potential new AO vacancies. They would have to recruit again. If it's anytime soon I would be quite annoyed considering they ended so many AO contracts at the end of March. I'd still apply though haha!!0 -
My friend is working with dwp, she told me there may not be mass recruitment exercise for ao positions. As dwp thought to recruit 4000 jobs initially and assume lots of ao will move to eo positions leaving ao spaces , instead dwp had a cut in the budget and nearly half of the potential jobs were cut down.Instead of 1200 external eo, they recruited only 600.
If one is interested in ao job, it's better to set a job alert by going on cs website. As there are more chances jobs will be announced sporadically.0 -
Yup.... your friend is correct. When I was leaving last month they were in the process of filling up posts with surplus staff and the few remaining AAs were offered the chance to apply for promotion to AO.....
It was never going to be 4000 new positions externally. It always sounded to good to be true.0
