Yeah I think the numbers on top of the ad were indicative and purely administrational as I know Hampshire originally has 150 and not so now. I thought SW had about 100 to 120, orginally, but now.......?

Yeh they did say the final figure 'could be more or less than' but I've yet to hear of anywhere with MORE!
  • Question to ESSR: Can you please tell me my position on the reserve list for Southern Wessex and Hampshire/IOW?

Answer: You are number 20 on the reserve list.

Fan-freaking-tastic, I am number 20, on a reserve list. Which bloody one, and what position on the other.

That is what I waited for since early Monday morning.

I am sorry, but my patience has gone, I can see why this campaign has been a monumental balls up.

Yes, I have been lucky and been offered a position, but even then, they forgot to put the multiple applicants that were successful on the email list for that region, and took four days to rectify the matter, only after the recruitment manager for that region contacted central recruiting to get the list sorted.

Please, can anyone tell me, was my question too long, too complicated, not understandable, could I have worded it in a simpler way???

Is 14th on the reserve list going to be enough in SE Wales?!?!? I was either hoping for a little closer to the top (so I could be hopeful) or further down the list so I could write it off and move on.. Now I feel as confused as ever!

Depends how many jobs there are.

    Hello all,

I wish I had known about this forum months ago. I have gone through the recruitment process like so many others here.

I had writers block with the competencies, spent days on the phone being cut off when the online test had IT problems then waited months for the interview.

I got a provisional offer last week, phew!

I want to ask people who have worked or do work in JCP whats it like?

    Are staff valued and supported?

Does anyone know if the work is all in Youth Contract? What does Youth Contract work involve?

    Is the job secure?

I know they are permanent but i remember my local JCP being fully staffed one day then the next time I went in lots of staff had suddenly gone.

Would be great to hear from people with real experience working in JCP and who know the job/organisation.

    Thanks

Lol - it was a rhetorical question... I'm starting to look for something else as cannot sit and do nothing. Just don't want to move on and regret it in a couple of months time...

I don't understand why the reserve lists are so big!
I am trying to stay positive, and fingers crossed there is still a chance for those of us on the list to be offered a post within 6mths, but it's very hard to imagine it ever happening. :(

I have got 2 replies from dwp re: my position on the waiting list. The first one was for Black Country. It said:

The only information we are able to provide for you at present is that you are currently placed 65th on the waiting list.

    Regards

    DWP Recruitment team

Today I received this email about BC, SS and B&S:

All we can tell you is that you are 99 on the waitlist for Black Country, 87 on the waitlist for Staffs & Shrops and 23 on the waitlist for Birmingham/Solihull

Don't fancy my chances for BC - I've 'gone down' 34 places!!! ;)

Just praying that the B&S number is accurate cos pretty pleased with that! :D

How very strange! I received the exact same email as your second one! How can we both hold those positions on the lists?
