I am sure I read on someone's post that it should take around 20 days to hear anything after receiving a provisional offer, due to employment checks etc. Well, what if you are an existing civil servant....will this still be the case???
Many thanks.0 -

I was given and accepted my provisional offer on 07/04/2012. Today is day 20 and I have heard nothing further. The length this whole process is taking is sickening. I just want to know when and where I'm going! :mad:0 -
Wow got my 4th rejection from the north east this moring . They defo dont want me sending the same rejection 4 times. All seems odd to me 1 offer one waiting list one rejection (a bit it be 4 times now) and one not bothered to send anything . 35 points not good enough for NE , NW kind of OK, offer for N scotland . Ødd as been offered another job with pick of location . Shows all depends on how u and pannel perseave u on the day.
PS lots of Trols on here _ wonder what their ava age is guess 13 . Just think once u get through pubity then u might want to get a job and forms can provide support ! Saying that u might never get though0 -

Same day as me...but it's 20 working days, which will take us up to Tuesday 8th May taking into account the Easter Monday BH and also the May Day BH.
I've had a letter asking me to send my CRB in to them when I receive it, (dated 23rd April) but that's all. I don't recall asking for it to be sent to my home address, I would have been quite happy with it being sent directly to them but I'm not sure if that's the way it's done with the Basic check. I think you have to allow 14 days for it to arrive. So...I know I won't hear anything more until I've received my CRB and then I'll have to allow another week for it to be received / processed. Arghhh.0 -

Hi Sara, congratulations on getting through. Well done. Can I presume that being notified so early that you were an internal applicant. Which region were you successful in? It has been a long wait for me, I did my interview in the early days on the 24th Feb and got notification yesterday. So 20 days longer knowing that there is a full time job on the end, I am not so highly strung any more. Thank god. I have even managed to calm my wife down a bit.
As far as the CRB goes, I have had a few done with gov dpts and I recieved a copy as well as the original being sent to the employer. Perhaps that was because it was my first one ever done in this country?!? I did not recieve a copy from the second check.
Anyway, I am sure they will pump it through as fast as civil service possible. They will want us on the ground and training as soon as they can get us. I believe someone posted yesterday there is another AA/AO campaign running, so that may be a factor (could be wrong, but I am sure I read it here somewhere) and will be a drive to finish this one sooner rather than later.0 -
I scored 41/45 at interview and received a reserve list outcome email on Saturday. I have emailed to request where I am placed on the list, but unfortunately I have not received a response yet.
So ... quick question. Has anyone else found out where they are placed on the list? And if so, when did you send your request?
Thanks0 -

Luke, I sent mine early Monday morning. I do not expect to get a reply this week. They will have thousands of emails to contend with. Not a good situation, but I think we have to be a little realistic about it. I will post a message when I get a reply.0 -
Thanks DragonChild. Very true!! I sent my request early Monday too. Hopefully we'll hear soon.0

I can realistically only work in Plymouth or Devonport, live in plymouth and dont really want to commute, i know i wouldn't mind for a while but it would soon get on my nerves, plus i have 2 kids and need to work round schools & childminders etc..0
