DWP Recruiting Again - 2012

hmm, from another DWP vacancy;
The purpose of this note is to inform you that due to the large number of applications our original plans and timetable for sifting and interviewing have changed. Sifting is underway for a large proportion of applications and we will get sift results out as quickly as possible. We will follow up with interview dates thereafter. Sift results will be staged but it could take up to 6 weeks for these to be issued. Also please note that a new time table of interview dates will be issued in due course...
...Thank you for your patience and very sorry for any inconvenience caused. It would be very much appreciated if follow up enquiries could be made only in exceptional circumstances.
Who would have thought it?0 -
Hey guys
Emotions are high for everyone right now, so lets think about others before posting something that may offend.
We've all been giving each other so much encouragement and positivity, please let's not lose that.0 -
And of course Markymark the call that you are expecting is far more important than anyone elses pointless enquiry:D
It probably doesn't matter to you now you have an offer (getting offered on 31 points was pretty lucky if you ask me) especially as a lot more of us on here had scored more than you but alas we don't all live in Derby!!!!!
If we did I'm afraid we would be in & you would be on the phone, clogging up the recruitment line with your pointless questions!!! Not forgetting you are the guy who initially fed porkies about your interview score..,,,,claiming he scored 38????
Still think its funny that I am on the reserve list for Derby with a score of 38...0 -

Found out where I am on the reserve list. I am currently sitting/festering at 45.
Realistically there is no way I'll be offered a place. Had I been postioned at 10-15 I would still be living in hope...
I think for those of us who are on the reserve lists in London with scores of 33 and lower it is now time to start or carry on with the the job search!.. I'm usually quite optimistic and have been in my previous posts on this forum. However, reality has now kicked in and I am moving on.
I feel positive that I made it this far but it's obviously not meant to be. A previous poster wrote - "The reserve lists are for those who were unsuccessful" and I agree. Unless DWP realise they have made a massive C**K up and have not recruited enough candidates we'll end up in the "special" filing place which is located under a desk!
Wishing you all the best of luck in whatever you do

Really????? How could that be???? Has there been an unfortunate mistake??? Hope you have called the pesky recruitment line with this pointless enquiry :rotfl:
Lol no... because I am not the only one on here who has been put on the reserve list with a higher score than Markmark, and I haven't heard of anyone else who has been offered a position...
Plus I already have 2 offers so it would just be greedy lol:)0 -

No I wouldn't, I'd get on with my job and carry on applying for other jobs.
People need info on locations before they can turn them down and people need to turn them before they can make offers to those on the reserve list. What's so hard to understand about that? I don't think it's particularly controversial to point it out.0 -
It makes you wonder why they make the reserve lists so long!!!!!! Surely they don't expect all the successful candidates to turn down their offers do they????? I know there will be the rejected ones from the multiple region candidates.........and the ones who will fail the crb checks.........and the ones with dodgy references.........and the ones who have already found work........and the ones who's circumstances have changed.........and the ones who have changed their minds..........and the ones who can't travel to their designated offices............oh , and the ones that may have passed away during this process.......
Maybe they do need such long reserve lists afterall:rotfl:0 -

As for MakemBill comment: what was the point of that really?!
First of all I'm sure that there quite a few people dealing with this recruitment process and the ones minding the phone lines are doing just (and almost only) that. I don't think the process will be delayed now, at this stage. There are a lot of departments involved (CRB, HMRC etc) and the waiting will be mostly related to them.
I'm sure we'd all call and seek information had we ended up on a reserve list! Everyone has the right to know where they stand really so let's not get selfish!
Yeah MakemBill, shut up you jerk.
