It makes you wonder why they make the reserve lists so long!!!!!! Surely they don't expect all the successful candidates to turn down their offers do they????? I know there will be the rejected ones from the multiple region candidates.........and the ones who will fail the crb checks.........and the ones with dodgy references.........and the ones who have already found work........and the ones who's circumstances have changed.........and the ones who have changed their minds..........and the ones who can't travel to their designated offices............oh , and the ones that may have passed away during this process.......
Maybe they do need such long reserve lists afterall:rotfl:
Exactly - 100 people could become illegible! Or one person could. So if you're 65th on the reserve list it means nothing. Equally there could be 10,000 people on that list, or 65.
It's like if they gave us competency scores and refused to tell us what they're out of. Useless information an pointless questioning it! The only way you could compare is to find people better or worse. The only way knowing what your position on the reserve list might mean is by finding someone higher or lower!0 -

Sorry???? You've lost me there mate...........100 people might become unreadable????0 -
Janabiyah-Jane wrote: »Still think its funny that I am on the reserve list for Derby with a score of 38...
Well, EXACTLY!!!!
I called Markymark out about this back in P.286 (i think from memory), and via PM over his claims he got in with 31 points for Derbyshire.
And he chose not to reply.
I cannot see that they'd dare make a mistake like that ...you got 38 Janabiyah-Jane, and I got 36 ...yet someone so childish gets 31 and gets in? For the same area??
Why wind people up MarkyMark with such daft comments during a difficult time for everyone??0 -

MarkyMark87 wrote: »If people keep calling the recruitment line and sending emails then it's just going to hold up the whole process. Those of us who have been made offers will have to wait even longer which will mean a longer wait for the people constantly emailing and calling anyway.
Does it really matter where you are on the reserve list? Presumably if you don't have a job you won't pin all your hopes on getting a call, you'll continue to look for work. If you do have a job you'll carry on doing it and if you really hate it then you can carry on searching.
Just have some patience and let people do their job! I'm currently waiting for a phone call from them but I suspect the person who should be calling me is too busy answering pointless questions!
As for MakemBill comment: what was the point of that really?!
First of all I'm sure that there quite a few people dealing with this recruitment process and the ones minding the phone lines are doing just (and almost only) that. I don't think the process will be delayed now, at this stage. There are a lot of departments involved (CRB, HMRC etc) and the waiting will be mostly related to them.
I'm sure we'd all call and seek information had we ended up on a reserve list! Everyone has the right to know where they stand really so let's not get selfish!MarkyMark87 wrote: »Yeah MakemBill, shut up you jerk.

Markymark, you really are an unpleasant character.
quo-vadis mistakenly said it was makembill that made the comment that YOU ACTUALLY MADE.0 -

Yes, apparently the recruitment section left ALL the multiple applicants off the mailing list for TV, should have been sent an email on the weekend.
Was corrected today and got my offer. WOOOOHOOOOO.0 -

HAHAHAHAHA ROFL LMAO LOL!!!!! MY PHONE AUTOCORRECTED AND PUT THE WRONG WORD! OMG! SO FUNNY!
On a more serious note though, in an advisory role at the job centre you might come across the odd person who makes a spelling mistake. Will you stop reading and tell them 'sorry mate, you made a mistake here I can't possibly understand the rest of it now.'
My point stands and I assume because you ignored it you don't really disagree.
To reiterate: Stop being impatient and let the people do their jobs. It's best for everyone. Not just me, EVERYONE.0 -

Oh and the correct way to use an ellipsis is '...' not '....................'. It's also generally used to indicate some form of omission in a sentence, often when quoting someone, not for hilarious dramatic effect.
BUT DON'T WORRY, I STRUGGLED THROUGH YOUR POST AND MANAGED TO READ IT TO THE END.0 -
RL have said that B&S have only sent out rejections, no offers as yet... phew... (although I was SURE someone on here said they'd had an offer....)
Also, 20 working day timescale for pre appt checks confirmed: expect final offers by late may, Staggered start dates mid-late june, depending on required notice periods etc.
I think it may be worth ringing again and checking as ive had an offer from both b&s and bc, I got 35 which I think is the same as you so might be best to query it.0
