I thought S London would move quick as when I had my interview on 17th March, my interview feedback was on within a matter of hours and as far as I know the last of the interviews were that wkend so they have had long enough to sort this out!!!!

    Hi Mosch

I was interviewed in the North East a good ten days before you and interview feedback was posted within 24 hours and I'm still waiting too. I think it's just a case of dealing with pockets of areas at a time until the results, whichever way, have been posted before moving onto another area.

It seems to me that those who have had rejection emails appear to have scored a three at interview so would have been rejected anyway. It would cost nothing to put everyone who didn't get an offer on a waiting list so I imagine if you score more than three in every competency there'll be a chance of reserve.

Well, my DH just got the 6 month 'reserve list' email from Hants & IOW. So disappointing, he scored 37 and we were sooo hoping for a positive, he's been out of work for 2 years. :(:(:(
Re my earlier post they did send him through a location form yesterday afternoon so I guess you never know. So sad though......we had really hoped for something to celebrate. Tabs

    Hi MakemBill,
I'm also waiting on results for Tyne and Wear - what did you score, out of interest? I got 34, so think my best hope will be reserve list for a while and then hopefully an offer. All this waiting is driving me mad!!

Hi all, first time post but been following the forum for months.
I'm pretty sure the above posts mean reserve list, my partner has the exact same message from another CS job he applied for and he is on a reserve list there.

Has anyone heard anything from NORTHUMBERLAND / TYNE AND WEAR area? The wait is killing me! Scored 8, 6, 7, 6, 7 at interview so am thinking I'll end up on the reserve list too.

    Hi Charlie

I'm also waiting on N/T&W. Our area only interviewed quite high scoring tests and sift, so the results might also be quite high for a post. I'd have thought 34 would be close to the line but even if you only made it to reserve there's a good chance you'll be picked up sooner rather than later.

Remember everyone that while the reserve list is held for six months there's also a 6 month probationary period on all posts taken up.

The correlation there is not an accident. If you don't cut it in the job, there are keen people waiting in the wings.

I'm not getting my hopes up, but that thought did cross my mind. I remember that my status went to 'application on hold' just before interview invites were sent out.
I would hope to receive something a bit more formal [like an email] if I am on the waiting list - been waiting for such a long time I'm sure they could manage that? :p

Might I suggest that you go into the communication centre and your personal details and check that the e mail address you gave for contact was correct? If it is, have you also been checking your spam folder.

There is no reason whatever why you shouldn't be getting email alerts when your status changes. If all is well and you're not receiving alerts, contact the technical help line with your technical query. That'll be an original call for them to have to deal with as opposed to people begging for updates, lol!

    Just got this message....

    Applicant Status

    : Application on hold

Thank you for your interest in the Department of Work and Pensions.

Your application is currently being held on our reserve list and will be considered against any similar vacancies that arise in the future.

IMPORTANT: Please remember to return regularly to check the status of your application or check your e-mail inbox.

Mannnn long things lol how long you guys think it would take to find out if successful or not?
  • Well done to everyone, and those on reserve lists I am sure lots of these will get offers as others turn down places due to offers from multiple districts and perhaps having already gained employment elsewhere.

I am still shaking as I have a provisional job offer for Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Rutland. I scored 8,8,7,8,7 so 38 overall... I am so happy and need to go to the pub now....
    Good luck everyone.

Can I just say to everyone who is receiving good news currently, I am absolutely thrilled to hear it.

Looking back over the past weeks on this forum, where so many of you have been struck by anxiety, flapping over impending interviews, sweating on feedback etc etc, it's a thrill to see the mood on here so upbeat.

I suspect there may be a few sore heads tomorrow. Well done to you all. I’m genuinely pleased for you all.

I hope to be joining you all as you share you good fortune next week some time...in the North East ever decide to declare, lol!

Another point to note is that DWP and the recruitment centre are taking things seriously if they're allowing overtime so early in the new tax year.

Good luck to all still waiting.
