very true Makem, I'd also not be worrying if my paltry 32 was enough to get the job! ;)

I'm sure I've scored around the mid range [I haven't looked] but will be happy if I'm on the waiting list.
Has anyone thought about whether they are going to apply for AO vacancies [if there are any] when they are advertised?

Personally no, and only because of the salary - there is no way I could survive on 19K a year. Also if you were looking for a promotion I think you'd be waiting a long time, especially because of this recent excersise. Having said that, they are still good jobs and if you want a career in the CS it's a good place to start :)

I don't think I'll be applying for the AO jobs either - I was an AO for 2years before I got promoted to EO. I was EO for over 5 years before I stupidly left to re-train as a lecturer. I'm pleased I got this far in the recruitment process but if I don't get 'back in' then I will not try for the AO. Too many people I used to manage have since got their promotion and it would feel like I was starting all over again.:(
  • The amount of conjecture on this forum is laughable.

Similar postion as I'd be in. I left as I got offered another job - I didn't think my E.O would become perm, 3 weeks later they'd made all the fixed termers in the office I worked in permanent..Gutted but am really happy that JCP are recruiting again as it was a great place to work - I really hope we are successful Red, at least we'll know what to expect and they'll be no surprises!!

There is nothing else to go on so of course its conjecture - but regardless of all of the speculation and guessing it still helps to know your not alone in the uncertainty I'm sure you have added your own opinions..
  • Hi stephanie

i too had my interview on the 17/03/2012 for South London and got a feed back score of 41 out of 45 but still no response i also rang dwp and some bloke in newcastle said to me they will let us know by mid april.
    Hi guys,

    I had my interview for South London on the 17th. I've had my feedback. I scored 8, 8, 8, 8 and 7.

I heard the marks are out of 45 and it's merit order. I'm hoping I scored high enough to be offered a post straight away and will not be put on a waiting list.

I've been told if you are on the waiting list, it's only for 6 months and then you've have to apply again!

I don't know for sure but my interviewers seemed convinced that anyone on a waiting list WOULD be placed in a post within 6months [due to people dropping out/existing staff leaving DWP etc]. Unemployment is still going up, right?
All I can say is that back in the year 2000 [when I applied for an AO post] I was placed on the waiting list but was offered a perm job within 10days - so I only have a positive view to share :)
Unfortunately, I don't think I will have scored high enough to even get on the waiting list this time :(
  • Hello everyone,

I don't post but I do read and I have a question (I must have missed the answer somewhere in the thread, so please forgive me if it's a repetitive one) Where did everyone view their results for the their interviews? Is it the CS website? I have been checking and nothing.

I did my interview on the 2nd March 2012 and I don't know if I did well or not, so... But I worked for the JCP prior and me and my manager did not get along. Of course when I went to my interview she was there helping with interviews. That threw me before I went in.

All I could think of is "managers discuss staff with each other and I am sure that she will say she did not like me previously and ruin my chance at this new and permanent post."

Anyways, I am still waiting to here about my scores for East London. I am afraid to say that I am worried lol, but it is what it is. 1 year without a job and I am struggling to be mentally upbeat about things.

    Aoki
