    Hi All
Just finished a FTA contract as a AO in jobcentre and had applied for EO in 2 districts - 1 internal where I was unsuccessful with application and the 2nd as an external where I had good results and was first one interviewed in my district [02.03.12 9.00am]. Even though application was exactly the same word for word !

Checking CS website every day, but no news so far but had a message from someone still employed there and this is it ;-

    External Recruitment Update

Nationally, the interviews are virtually complete, with only a few "mop-up" interviews still to take place. The next step is for notifications to be sent to candidates via CS Jobs and these will be sent to candidates during the next couple of weeks.

OSNs are now looking at making postings desisions and ***** district expect that postings for successful applicants will start to be made W/C 23.04.12
Candidates will be offered only one location per applied exercise and if refused, the candidate will be removed from list. This is national guideline for offering postings

    Hope this of help

By the way went back to office today and to say they were understaffed is an understatement ! !

Always understaffed during school holidays, lots of staff book that time off - perhaps that's why results are also delayed?

I used to work with Fern (hiya honey!!) and our office wasn't too bad during school holidays (well not too bad for staffing levels, it was hell with all the children being brought in by their parents - I swear some of them were smacked or pinched before they came in so that they'd scream all the way through the interview and therefore you'd cut it short - at least that's what I think the parntes thought!! :rotfl:). It's kind of good news though if they are crazy understaffed because then hopefully there'll be more jobs in SE Wales for me and the other people applying for that region.

Fingers crossed this is the final wait now, but knowing how this whole exercise has gone it wouldn't surprise me if there's a further delay for some reason!

I have been told that if you are on the waiting list then you will get a job offer, they can only train so many at one time. Can anyone confirm if this is the case?

    Hey Fern

Thanks for all the info. In terms of the internal candidate malarkey, are you still classed as an internal candidate seeing as though you applied before your FTA came to an end? I am in the same situation and obviously didn't have to fill in any CRB stuff at interview because I was still employed by the DWP up until the end of last month....

    Cheers

Well that's one thing I can't seem to get to the bottom of? I can still log on to CS website as a Civil servant.
But then again when I went for interview even though I was told in an email and via phone from recruitment line that as a current civil servant I would not have to fill out a CRB form When I arrived at the interview I was handed one and told I had to complete it
