I did my interview back on 3rd march, and got all 8's.
My status still says...
"Applicant Status: Scheduled for 1st interview
You are now scheduled to attend the next selection event.
Please make sure that you are available at least twenty minutes before your scheduled slot."
Ive got the feedback and stuff, but is it right that it still says that or should it say "passed" or something like that?0 -

It will stay like that until you get your final result [unsuccessful/waiting list/merit list] email or letter.0 -
Hmm, I'd hazard a guess that the DWP will use an umbrella organisation to do online CRB checking as part of the pre-employment process for internal candidates, hence the lack of a need for hard copy forms for an internal candidate (this is the way mine is being done), don't be too surprised if you're offered a job that you get sent a CRB application email. Being a civil servant already doesn't excuse someone from preying on vulnerable adults alas, so they should check you (no offence)
Failing that they could either have just cocked up, or be not checking you/trusting you as internal..which would be a fairly serious duty of care issue! But you never know with cost cutting these days!
While I see your point, a CRB was carried out when I joined the Civil Service, so theoretically, for working for the government of the day, which with a slice of good fortune, may still be the same following this exercise but within an OGD.
Obviously I have no worries about a CRB being carried out, having been warned they would carry a CRB out at the onset any applicant likely to be disqualified on that basis would have been foolish to apply.
That said, your point about an online CRB does not detract from the fact that they would still require my written permission and signature, which is all anyone was supplying with the completed forms, before they could carry out a search to see how many people I’d axed this year.
Let’s not all get hung up on the process for CRB checks. They can be carried out once you’re appointed if necessary as you will a period of notice before starting and you will not be allowed to speak to Joe Public until you’ve been through the training require for a F2F advisor.0 -

As there is no publicised pass rate until all of the interviews have been completed and results compiled and matched, there would be o way they'd suggest you'd passed. However, I do agree that it would have been far easier on their own resources, answering calls and e mails if they'd been more up front about where they were at regular intervals.
Does anyone believe that they'll learn from this process?0 -

ehazard2012 wrote: »Hi everyone,
Just was wondering if someone could clear up a few points for me, id be so greatfull:
I scored 5 x 6s on my interview for west of scotland and recieved an email advising im on the waiting list.
firstly: has anyone who scored high eg 8s and 9s on thier interview for any region had the same email advising them they are on a waiting list or have they had an offer of a job or have they had nothing back.
Secondly: i see people advising that job offers will be going out in a few weeks, does this mean that everyone who passed the interview stage is on the waiting list until the actual offers come out next week
Thirdly: does anyone who what chances are of getting a post if your still on the waiting list(i.e do not get a job offer in next few weeks) within the 6 months timeline;
Thanks
Hi, I'm a West Scotland applicant also. I scored 88777 and have been given a 'provisional offer' and know of three others who have been given the same. If you have been placed on the waiting list then i'm afraid it's bad news and you won't be offered a position immediately. What you need to hope for now is that a lot of people turn down the provisional offers, e.g. they have got another job since applying, and they will begin working down the waiting list. Five 6s is a very string score and I suspect you'll be somewhere near the top end of the waiting list so you receiving a job offer now is not completely out of the question but it will rely on others not taking the job or leaving JobCentre Plus within the next six months as it is unlikely there will be further positions created.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.0 -

Hi, that's great news. Out of interest, when did you receive your provisional offer and how was it made (phone?), also are you internal or external? The wait has been so painful, it's great to hear that offers are starting to come through0 -

My offer came through on Saturday (7th). I was supposed to receive an e-mail but as I've yet to actually receive a single e-mail they claim to have sent me I had to rely on check the communication page on CS jobs.
I am an internal candidate but that is honeslty irrelevant. Like I said, I know of three others who have been given offers and two of those are also internal however the third is an external candidate who is in no way linked to the business.
I have heard that all provisional offers should be made by 20/04 as postings will commence from 23/04/2012. A word of warning though, if you are lucky enough to receive a post but it is not at one of your preferred JobCentre sites, do not pass on it hoping to be offered another site! If you pass on a posting then you are removed from the list entirely for that location. Passing on a post will not affect your application for other areas if you applied for more than one but you will not be given another post in the same area.0 -

Well done on getting the post! Good to hear some news at last!
I know this is a long shot but you don't know what the pass rate is e.g. 36/40
Just wondering if it's going to be different for each area?0 -
Hi everyone. I applied for a different post with the DWP to the ones you're all discussing - a temp AO position and I could do with some advice.
I passed the online test and was invited to an interview - this weekend. I didn't have to submit any competencies but I was told which competencies I'd be asked about during the interview.
I haven't had a competency based interview before and I'm wondering how specific I need to be. e.g can I talk about being a member of a committee which meets regularly to discuss x, y and z or do I have to say 'on one occasion we met and discussed x... etc, etc' ? Can I say 'In my role as x, I regularly attend training courses to update my skills' or do I need to say 'As part of my role as x I recently attended a training course about _ and learned _ ' ?
I hope you see what I'm getting at. :-)0
