June! Yes this sound more realistic for dwp. It may be later than that for some districts though . I think districts who gave out the interview results quicker will be the first ones to start offering posts and district which have been slow due to under staffing or hierarchy may take longer, I won't be surprised if this keep going on till September.

I spoke with the employee services section on Thursday afternoon and they told me that only the West of Scotland and North/Mid Wales had returned their merit lists.

Very vague on the timescale for the other regions - "could be days could be weeks".

Although I am currently working, I don't want to go through the process of another recruitment campaign with another employer until I know for sure what's going to happen here.

My interview was the first week of March.

Anyway, best of luck to all who are still waiting.

Still not sure how this is going to work with multiple applications to multiple locations then... if west scotland have returned results and given offers, surely they should have looked at the lists from other areas next to it to make sure that they had all the application scores for that area?? So surely other areas in Scotlan at least, should have a merit list....??1

Or did our other applications get thrown out and we're now stuck with our 'home' region?

I get the impression from earlier in this thread that one of the big hold-ups in this process was that there where many more people applying for multiple districts than expected. As a result, the procedure for interviewing and selection had to be 'tweaked' part of the way into the overall process.

This may indeed produce further unexpected results as offers of jobs, or places on lists, are made. There are likely to be a higher than initially predicted number of people turning down offers as, obviously, people cannot accept more than one job at the same time.

However, as the posts were listed as separate vacancies, can one be offered and accept places on waiting lists for two or more districts?

I have been informed that for one district that their cut off is 37 for the merit list.

but they are still looking into it.
  • Jesussssssssssssssssss - just popped in to see how everyone is doing here and shocked that everyone still waiting?

The job I have applied for AFTER applying for DWP - I have been in that job a month already (today) and everyone here STILL waiting?

What a total joke.. and those are the people expected to help unemplyed into work? When they can not sort their OWN recruitment out?

Jesussssssssssss whata joke..Really feel for everyone waiting still and glad I took my offer and pulled out of this DWP "recruitment"
I have to agree. If I remember correctly, my advisor told me about these positions back in January (Maybe February). I took one look at the specifications and knew it wasn't for me, but surely they would have had the roles filled by now. Is it being managed centrally from London?

Typical, I scored 36. I have a feeling that I'll be somewhere towards the top of the waiting list and it could be a very very long time before I have a definite answer.
Never mind, I was unemployed when I applied for this job but have since found something else (though I'd prefer the DWP position).
    Good luck to everyone!

  • HI Folk

Loads of wondering ! as a earlier posting if you have less than 37 points have little chance of a placement ! The marking has been high and a high number have been give to internal candidates, even if they r poor
