Yes east London internal have already heard as I no two unsuccessful ones just external now :-)

do you know how many external vacancies there are for East London?
  • Argggh, all of my friends who had interviews have had their emails . Quite a few rejections, one or two waiting lists. Still not heard anyone getting that ominous 'you got the job' letter. This is for Glasgow.

Havent had mine yet! I'm wondering if they are sending out waiting list offers before job offers....which would strike me as strange...

Hi Clemintine - Are all your friends already working for CS or DWP? x
  • I'm on the reserve list for west of Scotland and scored 7s on my interview competences. I'm already a permanent AO but been an acting EO for 3 years, having previously got through the fixed term panel. Bit gutted as would be permanent if I had been placed in an office who's fixed term EOs had a 6 month extention. Only one of my colleagues scored higher than me and that was by just one point.

Still playing the waiting game to find out if I've been successful for a job I've been doing for 3 years.

    Welcome to the DWP people.

Two internal and two external aylithuk, so bang goes the theory of internal finding out first! I used to work in the department, so I know that its not common for the department to be working on a saturday. I think they are trying to play catch up... Having said that tomorrow is easter Sunday so Im unsure if they will be working tomorrow. I know a poster a few pages back had an email from them on a Sunday so its really up in the air. I know the Glasgow district had its interviews ages ago, so I imagine they are pretty much ready to roll with regards to letting applicants know the outcome, I honestly think they were waiting to get the budget green-lit at the end of the tax year, rather than this nonsense about waiting until all interviews are finished.
  • We had been told (unofficially of course) that the numbers required in the west of Scotland would be around 100. Going by the scores of those I know and by what a manager had told me, I reckon at the moment, it's a fair bit short of that.

Nobody internally knew about their scores until today may I add.
  • I just spoke to a colleague who has much better scores than me and he is on reserve list too with 8's.

First we all knew today when email arrived and we work for them!

And, yeah I heard 100 jobs too. I was interviewed in Glasgow but applied for Glasgow and West Scotland so Glasgow a wee bit behind with contacting by the sounds of it.

This is crazy we now saying that a score of 40 is not enough to get a job !!!
I was aware that 35-38 might not be enough be to say 40 is not seems daft ...12 years when joined DWP 25 was enough to get in !!
  • I know somebody that's been offered place who scored 36 for west of Scotland.

Nobody really thought you would have to score this high as the feedback we got was that lots of scores were pretty low.

I'll hopefully find out how many places have been offered next week and if there will be more offers in the near future.
