DWP Recruiting Again - 2012

I remember the last recruitment drive in 2009 when I was able to get feedback by calling the recruitment line.
A couple of weeks or so after the interviews finished I wanted to know where I stand and called them. I was informed that I was on the merit list which meant I got the job. I knew that way before I got the formal call with the job offer.
Now, that the interviews for London are over, I'm wondering if they haven't already compiled the merit/waiting list.
Has anyone called the R/L for info about that?
That may be the case here too. However, information given by individuals on this forum suggests that the interviews aren't completing until 5 April.
I would hope that the decisions will be issued very soon after that, bearing in mind many areas finished interviewing three weeks ago. Surely those areas will be ready to hit the ground running once interviews are over. Issuing the letters (or however else they intend o communicate the results) as soon as possible will not compromise any other area once interviews are over.
I would imagine, if what’s been said is kosher, that results will be sent out, at latest, week commencing 16 April.
If we accept that we’ll be cheerfully surprised if they arrive any earlier.0 -
On second thought I'm not sure if a merit list would hold any value right now considering the fact that some districts (especially in London) have reduced the number of available positions. I know that for West London (as of 2 weeks ago) they reduced the available posts to 40 therefore, I think a merit list will only be accurate when the number of available positions will be confirmed.
What a hustle all this wait and uncertainty!
Those of us in employment, be it in the Civil Service or without, should spare a thought for those folks who are unemployed and waiting for this juggernaut of a selection process to reach its final destination.
With the potential for a fuel strike looming it may never arrive J0 -

No one knows for sure but you have a chance! You didn't score under 4 in any of them and 30/45 - or 67% - is pretty good . Sure some have scored higher but many have scored much lower! Just depends on other people in your area, but definitely no reason to worrygood luck!

You're lucky you got your scores so quickly, some of us are still waiting.
If you had scored 3 or below then you'd probably not have much chance, but you didn't so you've got every chance of being offered a position. Stay positive and don't worry.0 -
Yet another day of waiting and no interview feedback.
I really hope I get my scores tomorrow, so I can go out and get drunk with joy or drown my disappointment.0 -

I got my results which are pretty poor, but nothing below 4.
So I guess if I'm on that merit list then I'll be way down the bottom of it.
Good Luck everyone xx0 -
Amby,
Were your scores at sift consistent with your scores at interview? Not that I have any pearls of wisdom towards what you should appeal or what basis you should do so on. Just curious whether there was a distinct difference.
Good luck, whatever you do.
Thank you for asking. Didn't get any sift scores (E.London).0
