DWP Recruiting Again - 2012

I got a little shirty (OK maybe a lot) yesterday and things got way to personal. I get really knarked when people build up a positive and supportive atmosphere only to have someone come on and try and seemingly upst the thread.
I appologise to anyone I insulted either directly or indeed it appears indirectly. I will not rise to the bait again. I will keep my gob (almost) shut.
I mean, I even tried to calm the choppy waters that developed a couple of weeks ago over "wor" Wanda's posts and now I've gone and helped bore her too. Things really aren't good.
So, I promise to try and stay level headed and supportive and not the loud mouth I was earlier this week.
Don't worry MakemBill you're an asset to this thread0 -
As am I :-)
God bless us, every one.0 -
Guys I am trying to read previous post in order to find a question and sample star answer but I cannot:
Could you please give me an example for a question like "have you ever provided customer service with in a team?" what would have been a star answer to point 9? Please help0 -

Of course :-)
'I was doing this well good customer service yeah. There was this customer right who needed me to do some stuff for them and I was like yeah no worries. So I was doing all this stuff yeah and then some other stuff and they was like 'wow thanks darling' and I was all 'don't mention it, it anytime'. And I actually said anytime in case they needed anymore help. So what you got is me who was well wicked at customer service and this bloke who was proper happy with what I'd said. He left looking chuffed and my manager said I was a proper good.'0 -

Throwing the hook out with bait again. Hope nobody bites.0 -

Just a matter of waiting now.
Good Luck to all those who are waiting for their scores and those who have kept me entertained with this forum. I have got addicted to it and will miss it once the process is over.:(
Well done you 'patiently' waiting E. Londoners who interviewed up to the 14th!
So, there IS a pattern poker21.
Wonder how poiyut did.
I did ask one of the ace scorers way back on the thread (or for ANYONE) - to share with me some of their competency answers (from their application, later probably used at the interview), so that I can get my dumb brain to understand what 'substance'
& 'style' & 'pointers' an 8 or a 9 score constitutes. This is merely for me to learn & improve, since I had already completed my interview. Anyone?
Would have appreciated a few paragraphs, especially as the eternal hunt for the elusive paid post continues....0 -

Hi. Sorry, wish I could help. I've been asking for examples worth a 9 (after having completed my interview), but unfortunately have not been blessed yet.
Good luck!0 -

Amby
If there was a magic answer to getting an 8 or 9 then we'd all be doing it and have no need for this thread.
Good results come from extensive and sound experience.
To score highly you really have to set out a strong example and cover the points within the competency very well indeed. It's no point making it up because they'll suss you out. You need to have a relevant task that allows you to show all of the skills required. To do this you have to reflect heavily on the things you've done hat have stretched you or that you have done well and describe them in a selfish way with you at the fore all the way. Talking about teamwork may show you're good with people but talking about how you led the team to success shows you can manage the people to get the best out of them
It’s important not to wait for recruitment but to build up your evidence regularly and add to it as you can. I also have a professional development plan too which shows my targets, aims and ambitions which is realistic.
As a footnote, three years ago I penned in promotion in April 2012. Who knows.0 -

HellO, anyone got their scores back from west London. Miss peri where are you?
I got 6,6,6,6,6. I really hope that's enough to scrape through.
Have heard that west lOndon are really low markers. Can anyone offer any feedback please? X0
