I actually have to stick up for Wanda here and say that I thought her answer was quite good. Why should people who have already done the interview be giving answers to other people? This has been covered before, this thread is for support, not to do the work for you. (This isn't aimed at the poster who wanted an example AFTER they'd done the interview but for the people who keep popping up wanting people to tell them what to say.)

Hmm no not really. Here is someone asking for a perfect answer to a particular competency.

1). No one necessarily has one
2). If they did, why would they share it?
3). Is this a forum to give support or to give people interview answers they wouldn't otherwise be able to provide?

But then maybe if we all message you to give your exact answers you'll happily oblige? BUT OH NO I'M A TROLL! EVEN THOUGH WHAT I'M SAYING IS COMPLETELY RIGHT AND NO ONE DISAGREES I'M STILL A TROLL!

People are desperate and hence the plea. You MIGHT be one of the "blessed one" with all the knowledge. Yes, you are correct in stating that I will not oblige with my exact answers. However, I do not ridicule people by providing sarcastic comments. It seems you get a sadistic pleasure by doing what you are doing. At the end of the day, you are a non entity and a person who require attention every now and then. I have to apologise to everyone else in this forum for acting against my own advice but I felt I need to answer. Wanda, whoever you are, the only reason for your obnoxious behaviour is purely because of the cloak of anonymity in this forum. It is your prerogative to make all these silly and useless comments and hope you are really enjoying your moments, for soon this forum will end.

I would have appreciated if the comments came from someone like Makeembill, who have been very supportive in this forum and not "Wanda". I agree that there are people in this forum who would like their hands held throughout the process. This is pure desperation. However, there is no need to be sarcastic and ridicule people. We all know that this is a competetive process and with limited places. Anyone with the slightest intelligence will not jeopardise their own chance by giving out answers. All I am saying is "Let it be". Do not try to seek pleasure through the misery of others.

Hi Amby, no scores yet! I interviewed on the last day so have the longest wait for East Londoners. Based on poker21's logic I have around a 10-12 day wait so I reckon early april I'll get some feedback.

    poiyut,
Sounds about right. poker21's logic has now been tested & proven (bearing in mind the small percentage of margin of error). Wish you all the best anyway, I'm sure you'll score well.

Just got to manage the 'waiting', I guess.

poker21 - few more days.... 31st? (is my calculation close?). I do hope you get great scores.

    APPEAL?
& now, how do I appeal - both on process & scores? People on the forum who are appealing, kindly advise how one should go about it. I'm not a member of the PCS, though when I was a civil servant a few years ago, I was with them. Do I appeal as an individual, a group, can I ask the PCS or any other body to assist? Thank you in advance for any helpful insight or info. Sarky ones, kindly refrain.

I couldn't personally give you advice on how to appeal, but I thought you hadn't received your interview scores as yet.
What I can do is point out the info on the Guidance.

    12.1. Complaints
    1. Applicants may raise complaints about an external or joint exercise.
    Complaints take two forms:
 Applicants who are unhappy with the outcome. These complaints should be
dealt with and replied to in line with normal delivery business customer
service standards. If the complaints are about the selection policy, it may be
useful for Line managers to liaise with the relevant HR Business Partner
 Applicants who feel that some or all of the selection policy or process has not
been adhered to (i.e. mismanagement). The applicant will need to give
specific reasons as to why they feel the selection policy/process has not been
    followed.

Thank you very much for the link and info. I did get my scores, which I don't agree with at all - especially the rationale & the fact of inequitable treatment at the interviews & during the initial sift. I therefore wish to appeal/request an independent re-evaluation. Dunno.

Yeh go for it, what have you got to lose.

Don't forget, you have to put in your grievance within 4 weeks.

There's absolutely no need to tell the truth. Just lie and test the limits of your imagination. How will they know?

I bow to your superior knowledge, Wanda.

Good to see you back. Thought you'd gone AWOL last week.

    Amby,

Were your scores at sift consistent with your scores at interview? Not that I have any pearls of wisdom towards what you should appeal or what basis you should do so on. Just curious whether there was a distinct difference.

    Good luck, whatever you do.
