does anyone know if everyone is ranked on the merit list in numerical order only regardless of whether they are external, internal etc...
Only I spoke to someone in my JC today who told me there were quite a few internal ppl and F.T.A.'s (whatever that is) lol, still in the running for this post but she didn't know what their scores were, will they get preference over external candidates, as an external I am just curious as to whether there is even more competition for positions as I was told ages ago that there were 50 'external' positions regardless but this seems to have gone by the wayside now.
Sorry if this is a bit jumbled but I'm a bit scared that my quite good results from interview could be wiped out by internal and F.T.A's who scored lower than me getting offered positions, as this to me would make the most sense given that they are already working there etc whereas I am not.
thanks to anyone who can clear this up for me
Everyone had to apply externally so just because they work there already doesn't mean that they will get preference. The best scores will be on the merit list whether there working there or not.
However I do understand that it would be easier for people already working there to get the job as they could start straight away etc.0 -
Hi, any applicants from Nottingham? any news?0

Hi guys,
I had my interview for South London on the 17th. I've had my feedback. I scored 8, 8, 8, 8 and 7.
I heard the marks are out of 45 and it's merit order. I'm hoping I scored high enough to be offered a post straight away and will not be put on a waiting list.
I've been told if you are on the waiting list, it's only for 6 months and then you've have to apply again! :sad:0 -
Friend: Interview 9 March, Interview scores 14 March (5 days)
Me: Interview 13 March, no scores yet (8 days)
So, no pattern.
It seems the earlier your interview the quicker your results. As it progresses the days increases for the results. Someone who had interview on the 10th, results on the 20th. It looks like a multiple of 5 days. See, there is a pattern. Looks like you shall hear yours in 20 days time and me 25 days.:D
The vacancies for E London is back to around 50 now. Therefore the marks set will be very high. Not good news I'm afraid.0 -
There were 4000jobs, 1200 for external and rest of them for internal candidates. But internal candidates were asked to apply or both posts, internal and external and hence had more chances to pass the online test. Considering they took it twice.
Now there is significant decrease in job positions. It's more likely in many districts if 100 positions were announced in total for 60 internal and 40 external positions , and these were reduced to 60. This means there will be no merit list for externals. In this regard , all district have autonomy and decision power as to how to allocate the funding and available vacancies. The numbers are not confirmed and will be confirmed soon after budget . as the advisor said. So fingers crossed. Xxxxxxxxx0 -

by internal and external are you refering to
internal = current dwp staff or all other civil service staff
external = applicants who do not currently work for the civil service0 -
