I have posted a similar message previously and there was no response. Hence I am trying again.

Did anyone who had their interview in E London had their scores yet?

I have seen only one or two so far who have said that they have received their scores.

I am not interested in what the scores are if you do not want to disclose but just the span between the interview and scores, to identify if there is a pattern.

I am still waiting and mine was on the 14th March.

I have also heard once all the interviews are over, they will separate the passes and failures. Its only after this that the appointment process will start.

I had my interview on the 10th of March and the results came through yesterday. East London

Oh , it's a long time, I can feel for you. Perhaps dwp wants to test the patience level of new recruits by keeping them in dark.

Friend: Interview 9 March, Interview scores 14 March (5 days)
Me: Interview 13 March, no scores yet (8 days)

    So, no pattern.
  • Had my interview, newcastle 29th February. Got feedback, but its a long wait for the results. .... can't believe it can take this long. :(

    hi all,

does anyone know if everyone is ranked on the merit list in numerical order only regardless of whether they are external, internal etc...

Only I spoke to someone in my JC today who told me there were quite a few internal ppl and F.T.A.'s (whatever that is) lol, still in the running for this post but she didn't know what their scores were, will they get preference over external candidates, as an external I am just curious as to whether there is even more competition for positions as I was told ages ago that there were 50 'external' positions regardless but this seems to have gone by the wayside now.

Sorry if this is a bit jumbled but I'm a bit scared that my quite good results from interview could be wiped out by internal and F.T.A's who scored lower than me getting offered positions, as this to me would make the most sense given that they are already working there etc whereas I am not.

thanks to anyone who can clear this up for me :)

F.T.A's are fixed term appoinments, staff that are on temporary contracts. My FTA finished in May last year.

I think they will have a figure for both ie: 90 jobs 40 internal 50 external and if all the internal posts are not filled they will go to external candidates. But I'm not 100% sure, think that's how it works.

Although I've heard that a lot of internal candidates were made to apply externally if they were at a lower grade ie, band b/ ao

I'm not sure if this helps or just the ramblings of a woman anxcious to hear an outcome.

    Vacancy filling order is usually

    Internal Surplus
    Internal Level Transfer
    Internal Promotion
    External Application

Although, that would be if posts wre initially advertised internally and they didn't fill them there they would then do an external advertising campaign

Unfortunately not the case in all districts, If it was advertised as internal then those fta/promotion, transfer will be looked at first.

Many districts were external where we all were on level pegging so to speak. I am an EO wanted a level transfer to another office for DWP, am on a permanent contract, was refused so was told to apply externally like everybody else and the merit lists are also the same so if you applied and it was advertised externally and you scored higher than me then you would get the job, irrelevant of promotion transfer or fta. Hope this makes sense

    Goodluck to you all
