4 comps were the same as the written app, the 5th one was my second (back up) example as it (seemed) to fit better to the question I was asked - and I scored 2 for it
. But two of my comps from the sift went from 7 and 6 to 1 from the interview - and I know I hit a fair chunk of the bullet points for both of them. But as I said the sift scores were given by another district and I really feel I should have interviewed in that same district when I had the opportunity - but too late for that now!!
I have totally let this go as I don't feel complaining would get me anywhere. I hope your friend is OK - I really don't think she should take it to heart - I'm not!!

I have had exactly the same experience as you did - offered 2 interviews, chose to have mine at Staffs/Shrops (Stafford office) over Bham as it was my closest area - and I've failed the interview too.
I got a 6,4,3,2,1 and that was using exactly the same competencies as on my app. I was only asked one follow-up question after the 1st competency (which I scored 6 for) and then they agreed between themselves that they didn't need to ask any follow-up questions after all the other competencies.
They wrote a page full of notes during each of my answers...not too sure how that can translate into 1s & 2s for scoring??
Oh well -I've decided to let this one go too.

That's really bad Lorac, I can understand how you feel. I know why you feel you should have chosen to have your interview in Birmingham but I was specifically told before my interview that they have not seen my competencies and know nothing about scores. I was told I can use the same examples or different one's if I prefer. I completely understand how you feel though. I mentioned in an earlier post that his scores also took a massive hit in the interview. He was not even nervous, I was the one shaking like mad. He helped me keep calm and get over my nerves. I feel so gutted for you guys. He felt he did really well and I can vouch for his competencies, they hit more than 90% of sub points. Hope you find comfort in the fact that you guys probably have something better in store for all. Good luck.0 -
If interviews will continue till 4th, how anyone can get job offer on Or before 21st march, without breaking the rules. May be surplus, internal, fta have priority. It's clearly been said after all interviews are done ,there will be joint merit list and district merit list. Invitation will be sent out according to merit. It's due to the fact people Applied for more than one district. so let's wait till mid April.

Just been told today by an advisor that no offers are being made before all interviews have been completed, so I definitely won't expect to hear anything until mid April. Although apparently to get the ball rolling there already ordering the successful candidates CRB before they tell us.

I assume this means OVERALL and not just your own district? Im sorry if I seem pedantic, its just so I can clear it in my head whats going on....When do the other interviews finish anyway?0 -
I spoke to the recruitment line today and they said all districts have to finish their interviews before offers can be made as people have applied to multiple districts and so that's slowing the process down. He expects us to hear the first two weeks of April. Maybe the Leicester offer was to an internal candidate as it doens't seem to fit with what any of us are being told by various sources?
Also, maybe it's just me, but why didn't the DWP just set everything up so each district was working to the same time scales, everyone's apps in by one date, offers to interview by another, interviews held during the same 2 week period, offers by x date, rather than each district working to their own plans and now a big kerfuffle happening as they realise that they're reliant on other districts due to multiple district applications? I guess that's too much like common sense!!£2012 in 2012 - £13810
