My friend in Northampton originally scored something like 77766 in their secondary choice at the sift, and about a while later their home county popped up with 1's BUT said refer to 'blah blah's feedback' (i cant actually remember where she applied). This stayed for about a week before the secondary choice reverted to 1's and that was that for a while.
After much badgering to the RL line she was given an interview at her home county on the basis that the 6's and 7''s had actually been marked whereas his home county had entered 1's as default.
Anyway long story short she went to her interview at the home county and scored a grand: :-0 :-0 :-0 .... 3,1,2,3,10 -
I believe home areas are nearest to your postcode.
Re Mommarat; I'm told some areas are already hearing appeals and follow up interviews from people with very disproportionate sift scores from more than one region.
Have you, or anyone else affected, appealed?
hi Makem. Which route would you suggest. Would it be missmanagement or grievance or do you know of another way to appeal. They are not very forthcoming in my office so if you could suggest a starting point would apreciate it. I have email after email that I have no reply to. Was using this as a prefered method because it's easier to show timelines.0 -

I would talk to the union about it. There is a definite disparity and lack of consistency. I think that mis-management of the process might be an option by virtue of them offering you scores then retracting that. I was talking to an insider who says he had never heard of any default system previously and could barely believe the way this had been processed.
First call in your case: union but do let the guys here know the gist of it so it may help them too if it's beneficial.
Good luck all.0 -
I agree.. Especially since the application deadline was in January!
I called the helpless line today.
I was previously told at interview that we would receive letters about interview results from this week.
Helpless said we'd get e mails...or a communication through the application website...and it wouldn't be until ALL interviews had been completed and processed so probably mid April.
Believe what you want to believe. I think its a case of Jackanory (if yer old enough) when it comes to "advice" from there.
Just don't hold your breath.0 -

That could be my story exactly - down to the really bad interview scores. I really felt that the women interviewing me didn't really want to be doing it and wonder if they 'had to' as I had already been given sift scores by another district which was not my home one but which were good enough to get an interview. Interestingly I had been offered an interview by B'ham - the ones who scored me originally - but after Staffs/Shrops offered me one as well I had to choose and chose my home district naturally. I really wish I had gone to be interviewed by the area that really scored me now as I suspect I may have gotten a better crack at the interview - but nothing I can do about that now.0 -
I've also heard it will be mid-April.
Permission to call Troll on the badger?0 -
Quite a few people at my husband's office [Bham district] have got low interview scores but a couple did get quite high [7s, 8s]. These higher scorers tended to be staff who had recently completed FTA.0

He has posted some very weird posts, seems to have had a totally different experience from the rest of us..
So I say yes...;)0 -
Anyone please ?
Can't say for definate but I picked the first interview date - 7th March - not sure if there was 1 or 2 weeks available (but assume from postings of other areas there would have been 2 weeks). When was yours? Where are you hoping for? Really hoping we hear soon
I'm Kent too btw
In addition to competencies, you have also been scored on communication - so that may be the differential.0
