Today is the 10th day and just received interview feedback , am excited with my scores 88876. The last Two questions when interviewer prompted a lot...

Congrats those scores are great! Well worth the wait!
  • There is no parking around that area. It might be better if you travel by training the nearest underground is Aldgate East. Or alternative is there is Sainsbury on whitechapel Road. You could park there and walk to commerical road. About 5 mins walk from there. Hope this helps.

Just called recruitment, been told the interviews will last till 4th April and one should expect the final outcome by the end of second week of april,Whether job offer, waitin list, thanks but no thanks etc.The pass marks for the interview are 4 minimum in each competency and as long as one meets the minimum criteria ,is still in the running.wishing good luck to everyone on this forum,it's been constant source of moral support and commeradship. xx

I am debating whether to call the recruitment hotline again. I rang them last week after waiting 8 days for my interview feedback and was told to wait and keep checking, now its day 13 I'm not sure if there is any point in calling or if I will just get the same less the helpful reply.

MrsMac101 I know exactly how you feel!

    You gotta love Livi.

We told you not to flap and wait and see and hey presto, fabulous scores.

    You don't know yet whether your good enough, but you know that;
    a) you're in with one hell of a shout, and
    b) it'll take a lot of very high calibre applicants to stop you now.

    Well done and good luck!!:T

    OK all.

I have deliberately stayed out of the on going posts which criticise each other and are unhelpful. I’d like to make a point without mentioning any names or referring to any particular posts.

We are all striving to gain employment in the Civil Service, or to gain promotion in the Civil Service as an external candidate.

One of the things that all Civil Servants (and wanabe Civil Servants) need to do is observe the Civil Service Code of Conduct. Failure to do so can lead to dismissal if you're employed within the Civil Service and even, if you can be identified through on line comments as someone posting personally offensive or unhelpful comments, be refused an offer of employment that may otherwise have been given.

Can I please suggest that if you can't say something that isn't pleasant, helpful or at least supportive of another poster, then don't post it.

Yes well, troll Wanda is gloating because I've been critical of him in the past. But troll Wanda and his opinions are not a concern for me, nor should they be for anyone else. He will go away at some point, and we will have to find alternative entertainment.

What you might want to think about, if you are yet to be interviewed, is how you're going to handle questions that either do not relate at all, or only in the very slightest degree, to the competency you have spent so much time thinking about. I mean, to the extent that you have nothing within your statement notes to talk about. Or: how you are going to handle it if your interviewer decides that it's getting close to lunch time.

It seemed to me, almost, that they weren't actually interested in the competencies as discrete units: as I was given to understand, we were indeed supposed to be talking about building capability, or whatever, and yet the questions only very obliquely referred back. Very strange, and pointlessly trcksy, if the idea is to see how people meet competencies.

Anyway, re lunch, the combined weight of my interviewing panel (2 persons, both whales wearing human face-masks) was about 130 stone. Not much of it seemed to be brain. Their favourite statement (which was repeated three times at my interview): 'the questions are the same for everyone'. Mantra.

There was, in all this drudge, one brief moment of levity. When I asked for a drink of water, the lady whale said 'no problem' and a big plume of the stuff came right out of the top of her head, and into my glass. Bit salty though.

As far as I'm aware I'm not actually in possession of a penis, therefore I think you'll find I'm a 'she'.

A couple of people have been happy to see you jump on the 'Wanda the troll' bandwagon and it seems to have gone to your head and you're just posting nonsense now. No one is telling you to shut up when they really should be.

Apparently I'm the troll, yet your recent posts amount to 'My questions weren't based on the competency at all!' and various personal insults towards the interviewers. I suppose you'll say you're helping prepare people, but how? You're effectively saying everything you've prepared might be useless and the questions might not be related to anything you've revised. How can they prepare for that? If I hadn't had my interview, didn't know you were a moron and stumbled across your post then all it would do is incite panic in me.

I'm glad you've stopped posting nonsense sentences which you think are clever insults towards me, but maybe you should also stop talking about how awfully your interview went.
