I don't have any of my payslips from my last job nor do I have my p45 as I lost everything whilst moving homes. Does anybody foresee this being a major issue and will they not just be able to contact my previous employers to gather all the information they need?

Has anybody else not had these documents on interview? If so, could you tell me what I can expect.

    Thanks
    Souk

I brought all my P45s/P60s to the interview, but they said this wasn't on the list of things they'd been asked to photocopy, so they told me not to worry and if they were needed later, someone would contact me.

No, just the same ones as original online application. Good Luck :)

Don't worry too much about paperwork, they want it to verify and it helps for disclosure purpose. For me, the admin was ok whatever I provided them with. Make sure u write the phone numbers and contact names in the list, probably dwp will take a reference from the list and will make phone calls to check you r what u said u r. As long as u provide enough evidence that s ok.

Be aware the questions are - or can be, depending on which district you find yourself in - extremely annoying and unnecessarily difficult.

I was asked a question on Building Capability that had no apparent relevance to any of the subheads for that competency. Turns out it lives in the minutiae, though even then the question was a particularly odd formulation of the point concerned. In fact it was a 4th bullet point under a second subhead, so obscure as you like, and not surprisingly I hadn't included it in my example. As a result I had to leave that entire competency until the end, go back to it and add a fairly fanciful story to beef it up.

Some unnecessary interruptions from the interviewers as well, in one case stopping me half-way through a sentence to say that I hadn't given enough detail: after a 5 minute delay discussing what the interviewer meant or was looking for, I gave up asking and went back to the flow of the example. She then said, 'that's what we need'. Can you Adam & Eve it? Just shut up and let me finish!

Anyway, that's it now. Incompetent recruitment process from beginning to end, inconsistent, flawed and unfair to the last. As for the interviews, you wonder why they bother: if they want to hear about people's attributes, they've got a damn fool way of doing it. Just ask some straighforward questions, d*ckhead!

    See you on the scrapheap.

Congrats to all those who got such good scores!

Still one of the unlucky who have to wait a long time for their scores. Wish I could find something distracting enough so I wasn't checking every couple of hours.

Where did you have your interview? Your experience doesn't sound positive at all.

I have an interview tomorrow for nights at a supermarket. An old friend is the boss and at any other time I would be chuffed because it's basically a formality and I will be given a start date. I'm so confused and annoyed! I really need 'a' job, and I am going to have to accept it.

So I have persuaded myself that my interview scores have probably put me low down the merit list, and my first choice will be gone. I have to, I cannot wait any longer. It's a shame really as I've put so much into this process, but three months from initial application to appointment/rejection is just not practical or fair.

On the other hand I may not be able to start for a few weeks in the supermarket due to formalities, so if the DWP get themselves as organised as we have all done then I may be in luck.

I will still be following everybody elses progress on here either way, it's been a mother of a journey so far.

Got my interview tomorrow... bit different to most of your experiences I guess... having the interview at the office where I worked for 10 years, in Welsh and I probably know (alright, definitely) know the interviewers. Getting ready for a bizarre day! Wish me luck

I really feel for you SG. It's hard enough being in employment and wondering how I'm going to work out the timings to give and serve my notice - should I be successful - given the delays in their process so far.. I'm worried I'll end up with a big gap in between finishing one job and starting another, as I want some time off but not so much I'm bankrupt! I'm not sure I'm making sense...
