If the recruitment process has stopped you getting a job then how can it possibly be flawed? :-)

Got my interview tomorrow... bit different to most of your experiences I guess... having the interview at the office where I worked for 10 years, in Welsh and I probably know (alright, definitely) know the interviewers. Getting ready for a bizarre day! Wish me luck

    Good Luck! :)

I've always been helpful. Walter might have had difficult interviewers but more likely his examples weren't hitting the bullet points and the interviewers were trying to help. No reason for everyone who hasn't had the interview to panic.

I really feel for you SG. It's hard enough being in employment and wondering how I'm going to work out the timings to give and serve my notice - should I be successful - given the delays in their process so far.. I'm worried I'll end up with a big gap in between finishing one job and starting another, as I want some time off but not so much I'm bankrupt! I'm not sure I'm making sense...

It makes absolute sense. I also don't want to start and then leave a job that someone has gone out of their way to help me find, it just would not be right. What will be will be......

SG may be u can tell your situation to your friend and take up the store job.In case u make it to the merit list and offered a job with dwp ( 4 weeks ) you still be on a probation with this store job and would have full right to switch to dwp , no hard feelings as u would have confided to your friend. It's difficult situation but dwp ( permanent) secure job is worth taking a chance in this uncertain period....

I will see how it goes at the interview, normally I would be elated, but this is just typical luck! I've applied for 100 jobs since resigning from the MOJ in December so I really know how tough it is and must take this opportunity if they do offer it.

Hi I am new to this forum, I had my interview for East London. I think it went quite bad I was told to give new examples of competencies other then the ones which were initially done on the online application. Anyway there was a panel of two people one was very nice but the other was NOT nice at all. I feel quite down because some of the competency questions asked, did not relate to what I was waffling on about well its too late now I have done the interview just hope for the best.

Can anyone tell me how long does it take to get feedback on the interview results?

    Good luck to all!!!!
  • I called the recruitment line earlier and was told that the interviewers haven't read any application forms. He assured me this was the case. I haven't revised any other competencies...so if this isn't true then i'm in trouble

I know for East London, the competencies were not marked and the invitation was based on Online tests. I think the reason that the interviewers asked for new examples could be that the examples you have given in your form were not good enough. It also looks like they have your application form in front of them to know what your written competencies were. I have not seen any feedback re: interview scores for E London so far and it could probably be a long wait. You have done the deed and now you should just relax and wait. The outcome cannot be changed.
