  • I called the recruitment line earlier and was told that the interviewers haven't read any application forms. He assured me this was the case. I haven't revised any other competencies...so if this isn't true then i'm in trouble

It all depends which area you have submitted your application. The competencies have been marked in some of them and these are the areas that would not have sight of your application form. Did you get any scores for your comps?

I will see how it goes at the interview, normally I would be elated, but this is just typical luck! I've applied for 100 jobs since resigning from the MOJ in December so I really know how tough it is and must take this opportunity if they do offer it.

SG don't be too hard on yourself. You need to do the best thing for yourself at the end of the day. If that means taking a job to get an income now and moving to a better job in a few weeks/months then you just have to do it.

I do know how you feel. I had another interview the same week as the DWP one and whilst I'm still waiting to hear back from both it still makes me feel sick to think about it.

Today is the 10th day and just received interview feedback , am excited with my scores 88876. The last Two questions when interviewer prompted a lot...

Sorry to hear that. I'm worried as well that the questions might not help my case at the interview.
I have an interview tomorrow in East London and I actually planned to use at least 2 examples from my application form. I'm quite disappointed now.

Has anyone else from East london been asked to use different examples than the ones on the application form?

If your competencies are strong enough, I see no reason why you cannot use them. The interview is there to identify your skills and cappabilities to undertake the role and not how many different examples you have. Like I have stated in my earlier posts, if the comps are weak, thats when a new example is asked. My interview is at E London tomorrow as well.

I know for East London, the competencies were not marked and the invitation was based on Online tests. I think the reason that the interviewers asked for new examples could be that the examples you have given in your form were not good enough. It also looks like they have your application form in front of them to know what your written competencies were. I have not seen any feedback re: interview scores for E London so far and it could probably be a long wait. You have done the deed and now you should just relax and wait. The outcome cannot be changed.

The questions asked were about team....not about what I did....ahh well did my best...thanks for the reply:)

Hi I am new to this forum, I had my interview for East London. I think it went quite bad I was told to give new examples of competencies other then the ones which were initially done on the online application. Anyway there was a panel of two people one was very nice but the other was NOT nice at all. I feel quite down because some of the competency questions asked, did not relate to what I was waffling on about well its too late now I have done the interview just hope for the best.

Can anyone tell me how long does it take to get feedback on the interview results?

    Good luck to all!!!!

    Hi shaza246
I have my interview in East London on saturday. I had heard this before on this forum that comps used in application were not being allowed to be used at interview. When I went to sign on last week I asked my advisor who confirmed with his manager that we were allowed to use same comps as in application.
Are you an external applicant or is it promotion?

    HELP!

has anyone else been to an interview in the East London region and told that they can't use same competencies as their application form?

I want to know whether they're saying this to internal candidates or to external as well.

Hiya Poker21 I am a external candidate, I worked previously for the Jobcentre Plus on a FIX TERM CONTRACT for 18 months which came to an end.
