    about 2 days :)

    Thank You :)
I was told that the initial sift weeded out a LOT of people...so there wasn't that many jobs to interviewees although they initally had a MASSIVE amount of interest...
So to everyone who had an interview WELL DONE!!
  • Is there anybody who has had an interview and scores from Nottingham?

Thank you Mint 25. I'm afraid I'm an horrendous p*ss-taker, and it doesn't always translate as humorous on the Net. You know how it is.

In the light of extreme trolling from Git_face, or whoever it was, I'm now expecting to be asked at interview 'can you give us an example of how, when you were in Afghanistan, you provided excellent customer service by rescuing three journalists and a squirrel who had strayed into the path of an oncoming robot (which was disguised as a Taliban elephant). Please also state how you mismanaged the MoD budget to accommodate your stratagem'.

That one might be a bit tricky, though my holiday in Magalluf had its moments.

    You're hilarious, excellent !

at the end of my interview I asked about the number of vacancies against interviewees and they told me 180 interviews for approx 60 jobs so 1 in 3 chance of getting through (roughly) :) good luck let us know when your scores are in, I had 6,7,7,8,8, was really pleased with that just hope its enough now x

Awww it's so nice that sad people are still talking about me! Since you're so keen to know I scored 7,4,6,6,4 so not as bad as I thought but I'm probably out the running.

This forum is full of lovely people, threatening to 'cyber bully' people because they had a different interview experience to you.

Don't worry though, you didn't bully me away, I just go to work during the week and don't have time to check this site all the time, or check the civil service site 18 times a day. It's good that you have so much free time though - hopefully you used it wisely and came up with great examples. 'I had to do the washing up. I drew up an action plan and presented it to my husband'. That kind of thing.

Bad luck on the interview scores. You'll maybe still get a certificate though for best ever (*cough*made up*cough*) comp scores ever!! :T:T:T

    Hi Nottingham Girl

Some people have been waiting so long for their interview results that I wonder if there are some technical problems or if the interviewers believe that they have already put the scores up but haven’t physically checked to see that they haven’t registered.

I had the final interview slot in the day and my feedback was up before lunch the nest day. I imagine you won’t be waiting around to long.

Those that have been waiting, is it safe to assume that you’ve contacted the helpline about this? I think I heard someone say up to ten days but that might just be what they’ve been told to say to field calls and get you off the line.

In answer to someone else’s question about specific feedback, I can tell you that I got individual written comments on every competency (not generic comments) and then an overall comment that took in my communication skills and demeanour. I think the comments were even more satisfying than the scores to be honest.

As for going back and adding to your answer, that is a strong point. It shows that you haven’t just stopped thinking about a problem because the conversation has finished and you have the confidence to go back and add to it. I mentioned in my answers that many of the qualities displayed in this answer could also be transferred to other competencies and I hoped that this would considered too. It was!

Hope you hear soon and that you hear only good news.

had an awful interview today. my interviewers did not help me at all.

Nana4u; I'm sure you did your best. It's done now so just wait for the feedback instead of worrying yourself over it.

For those of us who don't make it to the finishing post, I hope that we take the positives away from this process and realise that we are bloody employable. If you can get through to the interview here then you'll be in a good position going for any sort of job. Maybe try and reflect some of the active comments in the competency framework into your own CV. Might work wonders for getting interviews. I've done that already.

I hope they take it as good thing with me adding examples at the end - they gave me the option to and were very positive about it. I came out feeling really positive and happy but now I've just wrapped it around my head too many times and keep thinking I could have done more!
All I can do now is wait and see..
I asked the people who were dealing with the paperwork etc how long I should expect to wait to hear something back - they said the last interviews in Nottingham district are Monday so feedback SHOULD start going up Tuesday..I'll be checking before that though lol :rotfl:
Good luck to you MackemBill :)
