DWP Recruiting Again - 2012

:T Well done, I empathised with your description of nerves yesterday, the same thing happens to me with an added goldfish impression when my mind goes blank.
Do you have any idea of the number of vacancies in your area?
Nerves are horrendous aren't they? The original vacancy said 100 for Essex, with the usual 'subject to change' part in the description. I can only realistically do my local office or one other as I'm relying on public transport so I will be very surprised if I do get an offer.0 -
In the past I have only been offered jobs I am not so bothered about, as less nervous and negotiated a better deal. When I really want a job nerves get the better of me. No-one who knows me believes it as I give an impression of being very confident and interviewing has been part of just about every job I have had, so no excuse.Nerves are horrendous aren't they? I live on a hill that needs a 4x4 to get off and back in icy or snowy weather but I can walk to a bus on the main road, services will take me to 2 JCPs, the rest need a car and in rush hour take more than an hour to go 12 or 15 miles. My bus fare would be cheaper than parking in the local town centre so I want an offer from the two nearest to me. Hark at me, not even done my interview yet and worried about where I would work!
Think positively, you have done very well to have got so far and you succeeded in the interview. It was supposed to be a new Govt initiative that resulted in the mass recruitment as current capacity could not cope. They need more staff. (convincing myself here as I avoid working on competencies for next week
). 0 -
Does anyone know whether north London has sent out its interview invitations?
Thank you0 -
I have scored 5,4,5,5,5
And 84 in online test. But I'm still waiting for an interview. Does anyone have any news about what is happening with north London interviews?0 -
Hi everyone,
I had my interview Monday (Wales) and am awaiting the results.
I achieved 84% in the online tests and 7,7,7,7,7 in the online competencies.
I felt quite positive after the interview, I felt it went really well (I was encouraged to refer to my notes, though I didn't very often as I didn't feel it was very professional) - but then I slept on it and next morning I didn't feel quite so positive :S Wish I'd referred to my notes more!
SG you got your interview feedback really quickly, did you just get the scores or did they tell you that you had passed???0 -

No it just says scores, I doubt there will be anymore communication until region interviews are complete0 -
My friend had his interview yesterday.....
They ONLY ask you the 5 questions about the competences...
We are going to talk about Building Capability give me and example when.....
He also said we did ALOT, they stopped him and said, what was your actual role though, what did you do?
The panel really are willing to help you, not trying to trip you up!
So everyone relax and just know your examples and it should be a stress free process!!!!
Mine is tomorrow, wish I could take my own advice haha!! Nerves are horrible eh?
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE
