I've asked this before but didn't get an answer: What happens if where you've applied isn't your 'home area'? Neither West Yorkshire nor North West (Manchester) is my home area. That's Lancashire but the jobs there were only for internal applicants.

I think the reason you've not had anything is they'll see Northwest as your home area as it's nearest to you. Their sifting should be done by the weekend, so hopefully you should have some news then.

There is a 10 day exclusive period for surplus staff so nothing (yet) to say there won't be jobs available for stage 3 (or 4) later...

Thanks for that. My comp for that one was more about dealing with a complaint, not tailoring anything. Dont know why Im worried as not even been told about an interview!!:rotfl:

'Delivering a customer focused service' There are about 9 bullet points under that one divided into responding to customer needs and providing excellent customer service.

There were 3 interviewing me and they took turns asking about a different competancy. I did get very specific questions though regarding the competencies so I had to think on my feet as some of my examples didn't cover what they asked.

Therefore my tip for everyone is to make sure you have more than one example for each competancy as I had to think on my feet for a couple and got a bit flustered.

hi there could you please expand on the 'wording' of the questions, I've done my examples of the compentencies plus one extra but I'm a bit worried now that the wording of the questions might throw me and I may give the wrong competency answer as my example lol good luck to you x
