Hey everyone, just got back from my interview.
There were two on the panel and they asked me questions around the 5 competencies, nothing that didn't fit but only because I literally matched every point on the framework lol..
    From memory they were :
Give me a time you have had to communicate with impact
Give me a time you have had to give direction
A time when you have managed performance over a period of time (think I forgot to mention the time scale on mine though, lol)
A time when you have presented a professional image of an organisation
A time when you have had to tailor your service to a customer

They only me asked me a couple of follow up's one completely floored me 'what have you learnt' - I couldn't think of anything, obviously now I can think of loads of things, lol

AND TO WANDAFISH - THERE WAS NOOOOOOO TEST!!!!

    Hope that helps someone :)

thanks v much v helpful - just the kind of thing I was imagining (and dreading too!) Real on the spot memory dredging!!!

Is staffs/shropshire your home area?? They have started booking interviews for this area so if it is I would contact someone who deals with the recruitment.

I am in a kind of crossover area I live in staffs but border shrops and BC so it could be 1 of 3 areas that is my home. How do you know the interviews are being booked

I received an invitation to an interview today for Staffs/Shrops- at 4pm to be exact but I had already noticed that my status has changed to 'invitation to 1st interview' this morning when I looked at approx 8:30am. I was surprised as I already have an interview booked for B'ham but went in and was able to book an interview for Staffs/Shrops as well in Stafford on 12th March. They are offering interviews in Stafford, Telford and Stoke from 8th March through 16th March (I think that was the end date for all offices as I was only concened with Stafford so can't say for sure)

I now have 2 interviews booked - 1 in B'ham and 1 in Stafford. I'm waiting for the DWP to notice and cancel one and as Staffs/Shrops is my home area I'm hoping it will be the B'ham one.

Great information - I will defintely be writing up some 'cheat' sheets/cards so I know which sub-heading falls under which competency without having to look to confused :D

They actually said now I will be looking at "delivering a professional service, and the question is" ...........

Even better - still I will have some notes with me so I don't get too confused. Thanks for the info. BTW how do you think you did?

  • What documents did you need to take with you to the interview?

    Photo id
    passport photo
all the attachments that were emailed with the invite to interview i.e health declaration etc
I also had to fill in a crb form

I was told they will put feedback online in a couple of days and i won't find out about job until all the interviews are finished in a weeks time at least.
