I'd be very interested to hear how those of you who intend to complain about your competency scores get on. I've already been down this route and been told that you can't complain merely because you're not happy with you scores. The only option is to bring a case of maladministration and prove that the processes in place were mismanaged and not correctly followed.
The helpline have said there is a specific team that had been set up to look at scores people arnt happy with. Just have to wait and see what happens0 -

Happy to give you a bit of feedback, for what its worth. Not heard if I got an Interview or not but pretty certain I haven't from my scores. I got 8,3,8,4,3. Can someone please tell me what you think of my lowest scored compentencies below, I'm not sure there good enough to appeal? Disappointed because currently an AO and cover EO jobs on a daily basis! I have been working above grade for about a year and feels a slap In the face to be deemed not good enough now!!!!!!

I am responsible for booking Flexible Support Fund interviews. Due to claimants receiving short notice from employers, it is difficult to book them in the same day, resulting in claimants having to push back start dates. (you aren't really saying anything about you here)
I identified a need to have an extra colleague trained up and set up a meeting with my line manager to put myself forward.(Its not clear here if you were sucessful and if you were, why were you?) Now fully trained,(you need to say more about what you did and how you did it) I pick up these interviews, meaning our claimants can be off flowed quicker by removing barriers such as travel expenses.
I further identified the initial application form claimants complete did not ask all the relevant questions. I liaised with colleagues to enable us to share good practice and identify opportunities to improve customer service. (How? Does this mean your colleagues came up with the ideas?)
I used the feedback I obtained to create a new form, enabling staff to assess if an interview should be booked. I bullet pointed on the back of the new form items/circumstances an award cannot be considered for which enables myself, colleagues and claimants to identify if they are eligible to apply (Isn't everyone eligible to apply? Whether they would be successful or not is another matter!).
As a result of my actions, claimants can be moved smoothly into employment completing their journey with us as soon as possible. (How do you know this?)

The work experience initative was introduced. I developed my knowledge (How? Why?), ensuring I was confident with the referral process. I did this, even though it was not part of my job role, because I regularly cover advisor diaries.
I ask a series of leading questions (why would you ask leading questions? Do you understand what leading questions are? (not trying to be patronising here btw!) to enable the claimant to identify herself how work experience would improve employment opportunities. By doing this I was able to build trust by listening and offering advice on the benefits of this initative. (how is asking leading questions building trust? )
My claimant secured a placement at a supermarket, but given short notice. There was not availability to conduct a prestart interview at such short notice. I decided to liaise with the host myself (it is normally done through colleague at station street)(this could be viewed positive or negative, you know what DWP are like for following process!) so I could determine what action could be taken to help my claimant and the host.(you need to be more specific about what you did) I negotiated, agreeing that the claimant could start on the date given but was to be allowed to leave early to attend an appointment with me.
If I had not directly liaised with the host my claimant would not of start this placement and the host may have withdrew future placements.(do you know this for a fact?) By being flexible I was able to meet expectations of both customers.

Hope that helps, overall i think you had the framework for a good competency but needed a lot more detail. Believe me, i have learned the hard way about this!!0 -
BTW scores should be up now for Gloucs/West of England (possibly tomorrow for some people, but most are done now).0

Hi everyone, I found out today that applicants will only be sifted once by their home office (determined by postcode) all other scores will be disregarded.
Anyone receiving a run of 1's for comp scores in areas other than their home office should ignore these as they have been put on to clear you off the system!!
I am still waiting to hear and was told that it will be end of this week - beginning of next week until we hear anything.
That's not good news for me as I got lower scores for my 'home' district of Black Country. I would prefer to work in Birmingham [I received higher scores for this] as my partner works in that area too and at the moment we car share :mad:0 -

Problem I have is my home office have copied the 5 1s from the original list0 -
Has anyone received a rejection email (as in not invited to interview) following competency scoring yet ?
Or are they waiting to fill all their available interview slots up first ?
Or, hope they're not waiting until after all the interviews in case they fall short and need some of the rest in reserve to call up .....0 -
