I'd sooner apply for a job by donning a marshmallow costume and pirouetting around my town square next to a troupe of drunken amateur firebreathers (who would probably know the difference in nuance between an example and a description, unlike whoever wrote the application instructions).
Soz, that was cathartic.
Wish you well!
I'd give you a job if you did that

I've applied to three districts, one was internal only which I had my scores back for of 6,6,4,4,4 about 2 weeks go. Nothing for the other 2 districts as of yet.
It's shocking how there has been no consistency, no information (even us current DWP staff are completely in the dark, my manager also claims to know nothing).
I feel sorry for each and every person currently going through this ridiculous process, It has been demoralising for me and I am lucky enough to have a job at the moment.
You just know to add even more insult to even more injury, you'll be asked to train your replacements, don't you?:D0 -

A number of the staff at the jobcentre I go to have applications in on this current drive and when I ask them if they know what the situation is none of them can give me anything more certain than that DWP should be getting back to everyone in some form or other over this week, at least in Kent apparently, but they also said that the people running the recruitment are keeping any and all details held tightly to their chests! I can understand the frustration, I've been checking the CS jobsite and my emails what seems like every few minutes for the last 4 or 5 weeks looking for updates...0 -
Anyone external been offered interviews in north London? I got average scores, 78% and disappointing all 4s.
I was in the 2009 recruitment and worked as an EO for 18 months in a different region. Then, you had to wait for the post, and only found out I passed the interview a month after. As for the lucky people offered a job, don't expect to see a contract for three months til after you start!0 -
I'd be very interested to hear how those of you who intend to complain about your competency scores get on. I've already been down this route and been told that you can't complain merely because you're not happy with you scores. The only option is to bring a case of maladministration and prove that the processes in place were mismanaged and not correctly followed.0

How are you expected to prove that when you're not a party to those processes yourself?0 -

In other words, what DWP really meant was: you got no leg to stand on so accept it and move on??? WHAT A JOKE! I'm sure appeals would be as much as a farce as the whole recruitment proces!0 -
Hi everyone, I found out today that applicants will only be sifted once by their home office (determined by postcode) all other scores will be disregarded.
Anyone receiving a run of 1's for comp scores in areas other than their home office should ignore these as they have been put on to clear you off the system!!
I am still waiting to hear and was told that it will be end of this week - beginning of next week until we hear anything.0 -
